Hey everyone, your bug-slaying buddy is back!

Today I’m bringing you the official update roadmap for DESKTOP BUG KILLER — let’s dive right in!

The current September Playtest build is our basic trial version. It lets you get a feel for the core gameplay, and it’s mainly for collecting your feedback and suggestions. This helps me shape the game exactly how you guys want it.

The upcoming Demo version will bring tons of new content!(Maybe available next week !) You’ll get throwable weapons, desktop pet helpers, a huge expansion of tech upgrades and skills, plus brand-new extra mini-games outside of matches. The gameplay fun factor is about to go through the roof!

I’ll keep rolling out consistent updates and tons of new content nonstop — always plenty of fresh stuff for everyone to enjoy!

Coins you earn during runs can be spent outside matches to unlock random desktop pets. You can pick a handful of them to bring…Steam news2 Sep 2026Is making an incremental game still a dumb move?I get asked this all the time by players. The incremental idle space is totally oversaturated, flooded with copy‑paste games. Why on earth would I jump in and make an incremental shooter? Am I some kind of idiot for still building an incremental game in 2026? Every time someone hits me with that question, I end up thinking long and hard about it. I’m a solo indie dev squeezing in dev work after…
