What’s crackalackin’, folks! I can think of something that’s crackalackin’: The codex. We’ve all been there. You’re at work (boring). You can’t stop thinking about your Stardeus save. You think to yourself, "Awh man, I wish I could do some planning. I can’t wait to get back home and play for 15 hours straight this Friday." But then – it hits you. "What if… What if I take screenshots of all the codex pages so I can read through every part of the game and be an unstoppable all-powerful AI, just like Spajus intended?" Once you get home, you spend hours pressing F12. The Steam screenshot sound gives you a headache. You fall to the ground. Tired. You don’t have any strength to even read a single sentence of the codex. No more. No more of this nonsense! We’ve just released a web-version of the codex: https://stardeusgame.com/codex/ It’s searchable and generated from the latest released version of the game. So, even if you’re at work, on the bus, or at home on your second monitor – you’ll always have the codex at your fingertips. You’re welcome.
Spajus has also been hard at work updating the translations workflow for easier upkeep. He’s made this short video on how to create your own translations & update existing languages if that’s your jam.
Now, I know all of you are still waiting for the new UI (so am I). Rest assured, Spajus is still putting in the hours to get it done. Do not worry. It’s coming (and you can try it now in the experimental branch under Steam Betas). Thank you for your patience, and we’ll bring any updates on it once we have any. However – right now we’re taking a bit of a late summer break (as should you!) so development is halted until Spajus is back and has rested his programming fingies.
