After a Year of Development, the Playtest Is Live!

NOTE: The playtest is currently available on Windows PC only. We're working on Steam Deck and Mac support!

After a year of development, we're finally ready to open up the playtest!

This playtest includes 4 in-game days, featuring the core identification mechanics, the adoption process, multiple endings, and more. It should take around 1–2 hours to complete

About the Playtest

This build has already gone through an initial round of testing with some incredibly dedicated testers over on our Discord. A huge thank you to everyone who helped us test, break things, and improve the game so far!

That said, now that we're opening the playtest to more players, we're sure there are still plenty of bugs, weird interactions, and unexpected things waiting to be discovered.

If you run into anything, please don't hesitate to use the in game 'report a bug' button or reprot it on our Discord. Your feedback and bug reports will be incredibly helpful as we continue polishing the game.

And since this is still a playtest build: save often, and use multiple save slots! Just in case. :)

How to Join?

As mentioned above, we have a Discord server! You can find the invite link on our Steam page.

The playtest sign-up link is available inside our Discord server. Join the server, follow the playtest instructions there, and come help us test the game!

We're really excited to finally let more of you play what we've been working on over the past year.

Thank you for your support, and we hope you enjoy the playtest!

In this devlog, I wanted to share the process behind our hand-drawn artwork, from the evolution of the Mimics to crafting the "Cozy but Wrong" atmosphere of the shelter. Check out the full drawing process and the latest game updates below: Don’t forget to Wishlist "Adopt Me, Please" on Steam to support the project!Community25 Apr 2026Devlog #1: It All Started with 7 Cats, 2 Dogs, and a lot of MimicsHi everyone! We’re a tiny team of five humans, but if you count our 'management', we’re actually a team of fourteen. Between us, we share our individual homes with seven cats and two dogs , so it’s probably no surprise that our first project together is a cozy horror game about running an animal shelter. But there’s a twist: In our world, not every animal is what they seem. Some are Mimics , st…
