Hey everyone,
I wanted to share a side project that’s been a real labor of love. While developing Iron Resolution, I spent a lot of time thinking about the games that laid the foundation for the tactical, unforgiving, and rewarding experiences we enjoy today.
That journey led me to create the Retro Arcade: a growing, free, open-source archive of classic games that truly defined a generation (currently at 45 games!)
It’s a living museum that starts in 1952 with the game OXO to the puzzle perfection of Tetris, first released in 1984. And it includes a few surprising gems, like a board game that never made it to the computer, but should have done.
You can play all of them directly in your browser here:

It’s been amazing to see how the challenges, mechanics, and pure innovation from these games echo through the design of modern titles like Iron Resolution. If you ever want to see where the DNA of tactical RPGs and challenging games began, I hope you'll give it a visit.
Thanks for being part of this community and for your support of Iron Resolution.
