Patch 0.1.004 is now live!
Patch 0.1.004 brings further performance improvements, a new automatic settlement wall system, a major overhaul of villager work, new Scrolls, and many fixes across saving, multiplayer, enemies, UI, and graphics.
Performance & Stability
- Further general performance improvements, especially for vegetation, physics, villagers, coins, and large settlements.
New Settlement Wall System
- The Great Hall can now automatically create wall blueprints along the connected settlement boundary.
- Roads are detected and automatically receive palisade gates instead of regular wall segments.
- When the settlement expands, only the missing wall sections are added.
Walls & Gates
- Destroyed walls no longer disappear completely and now leave behind a repair blueprint matching their wall tier.
- Repairs preserve the wall tier, position, and persistent world state.
- Villagers can wait in front of closed palisade gates and continue along their path once the gate becomes passable again.
Villagers & Workers
- The entire villager work system has been extensively reworked.
- Resources are now reserved, transported, and delivered more reliably.
- Construction sites now receive a higher priority than regular transport tasks.
- Multiple villagers can no longer accidentally claim the same resource or storage position.
- Stuck villagers will recalculate their path or safely cancel an invalid task.
- Active tasks, reservations, targets, and carried items are now saved and restored more reliably.
- Items held by workers remain correct after loading and are no longer duplicated.
- Lumberjack, Sawmill, and Stonemason workers have also been made more robust.
Great Tower
- The upgrade progression across all Great Tower tiers has been reworked.
- A new range preview displays the tower's current attack area when hovering over the range icon.
- Arrow upgrades are unlocked only after the first arrow firing position has been activated.
- A tower can only advance to the next tier after the required upgrades for its current tier have been completed.
New & Reworked Scrolls
- New Great Hall Scrolls increase villager movement speed.
- New Storehouse Scrolls increase maximum storage capacity.
- New Storehouse Scrolls reduce the time required to store resources.
- Each of the new Scrolls is available across multiple tiers.
- Percentage-based damage Scrolls now correctly apply their values as percentages.
- Several existing Sawmill, Stonemason, and player Scrolls have been corrected.
Enemies, Sieges & Boss
- Siege waves now briefly wait for the NavMesh to be ready before starting together.
- Enemy movement, animation, and network spawning have been made more robust.
- Enemies now avoid road areas more reliably.
- The final boss now remains within its intended biome more reliably while roaming.
- Projectile targeting between targets at different elevations has been improved.
Saving, Loading & Multiplayer
- Buildings, workers, walls, trees, and active work tasks are now restored more reliably.
- The loading screen continues to show visible activity during longer individual loading steps.
User Interface & Graphics
- The Steam leaderboard has been expanded from a Top 5 to a scrollable Top 20 list.
- Item and Scroll information panels are now displayed more reliably in front of other UI elements.
- New screen resolution and VSync options have been added.
- Video settings now use clearer and more organized selection fields.
- The loading indicator, main menu effects, and several building displays have been improved.
