# Pirate Party Pals — Patch Notes

v0.5.1

## New

- **Music!** Dynamic music now follows the action — calmer tunes in port, an evolving
roaming theme out on open water, and a driving track for Deathmatch battles. New
Master/Music/SFX volume sliders are available from the main menu and the pause menu.
- **Pay off your bounty.** Wanted at sea? Dock at any colonial port and pay off your
bounty in full to clear it and drop your wanted status on the spot.
- **Ship wakes.** Every ship now churns a wake behind it as it sails, sized to match its
hull — a sloop leaves a modest trail, a galleon carves a wide one.
- **Rebuilt Brigantine.** The Brigantine has a brand-new hand-modeled hull with full
seven-sail rigging and a fresh cannon deck.

## Changes & Balance

- **Twin Forts is twice the size.** The map's playable area has quadrupled, with a
reworked archipelago of islands, more open water for maneuvering, and new channels and
shallow passages that reward knowing your ship's draft.
- **Deathmatch economy overhaul.** Starting gold is down (950 → 500), but now you earn
gold in the fight itself: bounties for sinking enemy players and NPCs, plus smaller
assist rewards for helping finish the job.

## Fixes

- **Lobby hosting crash fixed.** Hosting a match could crash outright depending on who'd
joined your couch crew; that's fixed.
