Friends, in one hour, at 12 PM server time, we will run maintenance and install an update. The work will take 1 hour.
Right after it ends, you can claim a small gift on the gifts page: godsarena.online/gifts
New features
- Rebindable hotkeys. You can now change every hotkey in the new Hotkeys panel in Settings. Click a row and press the key or combination you want. Esc cancels, right-click clears a binding, and Restore defaults resets everything. If you pick a key that's already used, it moves off the other action. Hotbar labels and tooltips update to show your bindings.
- Mobile layout. The Android and iOS versions now have a phone layout built from the original windows. The login and character screens are reorganized for phones, the hotbar curves around your thumb, the system bar and chat fold away, and text fields move above the on-screen keyboard while you type.
Combat & Skills
- Queued casts survive movement. If you click the ground while walking up to cast a skill, the cast is no longer lost. It fires once you're in range, and it's dropped when you stop moving.
- Status durations match the original. Statuses now count in whole seconds like the original server, so a 10 s stun lasts 9-10 s. Chained crowd control no longer lasts longer than it did in the original game.
- Newbie PvP protection is now checked on your client before the attack plays, so you no longer see an attack start on a protected player and then fail.
- Skills aimed at an NPC are refused right away instead of starting an attack that then fails.
- Walk-up casts now path around obstacles instead of getting stuck.
- The death message now names the monster that killed you, not just "You died."
Monsters
- Improved AOE hit detection for damage from monsters to players.
- Dead monsters now fade out gradually.
Items & Pets
- Pet items now apply to your current pet, the one you summoned last, instead of whichever pet you last clicked in the pet window.
- The Pixie's Tear growth check in the Pet Manager now shows your pet's real hidden growth. The numbers were shifted before, and one line showed the pet's quality.
- Converting Class III class-suit gear back to regular equipment no longer deletes an extra bonus such as an ignore-defense stone.
- Loot pickup range now reaches anything you can see on screen at maximum camera zoom.
Guilds, Events & Activities
- Guild leadership. When leadership passes, the former chairman becomes a regular member. Passing leadership back and forth used to add vice chairmen past the four-seat limit.
- Olympiad. Fixed an arena staying "busy" after a match ended, which stopped matchmaking and left teams waiting for a day.
- Zeus rewards. The weekly reset refills the limited prize stock again, so limited prizes are no longer always sold out.
- Ares Swiftness (from summoning Isthmus guards) now makes you move at mount speed (x1.3) whether you're on foot or riding. It doesn't stack with your mount. Riding speed is now capped at x1.3, which fixes a bug that let players move far too fast.
- Portals. Fixed players sometimes walking around inside a portal without being teleported, for example the Thebes portal on the Athens side of Delphi during invasions.
AFK / Auto-fight
- After you revive at a revival point, AFK now uses your new position as its base instead of walking back to where you started it.
- AFK uses ground-targeted skills correctly while following teammates.
Interface
- Chat: scrolling back through chat history no longer jumps to the bottom when a new message arrives.
- Chat: the blacklist now hides messages from blacklisted players on every channel, including World chat and Local chat bubbles, even when they're far away.
- Minimap. Hovering shows names only for NPCs and party members.
- Name colors in cities and safe areas now match the original (secure yellow in cities like Athens).
- Party HUD. Teammates who come back into view no longer stay marked as "too far away."
- NPCs are easier to click in crowded areas. The whole body counts now, not just the upper half.
- Hotbar. Dragging a slot starts only after your cursor leaves the slot, so you're less likely to drag a skill by accident.
- The death message box no longer blocks other input.
- The Info Option window opens next to the system menu instead of on top of it.
Graphics & Performance
- Equipment auras look better with the OpenGL graphics backend.
- More shaders are prepared ahead of time, so the first time you see characters, equipment or effects causes fewer hitches, especially on the OpenGL/ANGLE renderer.
- If a graphics backend fails to start, the game now falls back to another one more reliably.
- Long AFK sessions no longer get slower over time. Chat history is trimmed and animated emoticons are cheaper to draw.
- Server performance. Several fixes reduce server lag spikes, including faster monster AI and quicker database requests.
