Meta Hotline | Hot Feedback and Optimization Progress Vol. 9

Dear Metas,

After the v2.3.7 update, we added the Feedback Hot Charts section to the Once Human Feedback Platform, listing recent popular requests from the community. After logging in to the Feedback Platform, you can like the feedback you support and dislike any feedback you disagree with. The Feedback Hot Charts will display the likes and dislikes of each piece of feedback in real time, and our development team will reference it when deciding on future development priorities. (Feedback Platform link: Once Human Feedback Platform)

With each version update, the Feedback Hot Charts will also be updated, after which we will announce our optimization plans and progress for issues that charted during the previous cycle. Your suggestions are important to us, and we hope the Feedback Hot Charts will help us communicate and share our development plans and progress more openly.

Today is the release day of the 9th Meta Hotline! As of September 16, the Feedback Hot Charts standings are as follows:

Thank you all for taking part. Every piece of feedback, every like, and every dislike helps the dev team better understand which needs matter most from the player perspective. Below are the follow-up details for this cycle's top suggestions.

[Top Suggestion] Add a shopping cart feature

[Optimization Progress] Accepted, and the related feature is in planning and development. A shopping cart feature would better match your shopping habits, making it easier to browse and select items and pay for multiple items at once. It would also make it more intuitive to use spend-based coupons, making the purchasing and trading experience smoother for Metas. After evaluation, we have decided to accept this suggestion and will gradually advance the development plan for the shopping cart feature. Please refer to future announcements for the specific release date.

[Top Suggestion] Remove the restriction that prevents teleporting back to Territory when overencumbered in Pollution Zones

[Optimization Progress] Not accepted for now. We would like to explain to Metas: the restriction preventing teleportation when overencumbered only applies in Phantom Pollution Zones. In Phantom Pollution Zones, exploration rewards such as loot drops and recycling facilities are doubled, so corresponding mechanical constraints have been placed on extraction methods to balance the high output rewards. Additionally, if Metas are pulled into a dungeon as part of a team, they will not be affected by this teleportation restriction. We will continue to monitor the overall exploration experience in pollution zones going forward.

[Top Suggestion] Nerf the Acting Physician

[Optimization Progress] Accepted, and the related adjustments are in planning and development. Recently, we have continued to receive feedback from Metas that the Acting Physician is "too hard to kill" and "annoying" or that they are unsure how to handle it when they encounter one.
The Acting Physician is an enemy with a rather unique mechanic on Nalcott. Unlike common enemies, it requires a specific approach to deal with. When fighting it, the key is not to keep attacking its housing, but to seize the opportunity when it uses certain skills and exposes its Computer Terminal (the blue VFX part), and prioritize destroying the terminal. Once the terminal is destroyed, the Acting Physician will lose its ability to recover and grab, after which it can be killed normally. If the terminal is not destroyed in time, it will trigger recovering when its HP is low.
Based on online feedback, we found that the Acting Physician's explanation of the counter mechanics was unclear, leaving some Metas confused. In this situation, the current Acting Physician, as an Elite, has high stats that create a negative experience for Metas. We have now planned a comprehensive evaluation and adjustment of the Acting Physician's mechanics and stats. The specific changes will be announced through an announcement once confirmed.

[Top Suggestion] Add horses that can be mounted and bred

[Optimization Progress] Accepted. The related feature is in the planning and development stage. From recent feedback and voting results, we can feel Metas' strong love for horses. Going forward, we will continue to expand the types of ridable animals, and horses have now been added to the future ridable animal plan. In terms of development order, we expect to first advance water animal riding capability, then proceed with the development of horse riding and breeding features. Please refer to future announcements for the specific progress.

[Top Suggestion] Portable Fridge should have higher priority than Corrosive Agent

[Optimization Progress] Optimized. The related adjustments went live with the September 2(PT) version Update. We have changed the Corrosive Agent to a switch-type item. After Metas obtain the Corrosive Agent, using it activates the effect, and using it again turns it off; the item has a total durability of 60 minutes. After this adjustment, everyone can arrange the timing of Corrosive Agent use more flexibly based on their actual exploration needs.

[Top Suggestion] Dismantling buildings should refund basic materials

[Optimization Progress] Accepted. The related feature is in the planning and development stage. We have noticed the core issue reported by Metas: after dismantling buildings, the refunded materials are stored in the territory terminal depot, but when depot space is insufficient, the current system's automatic storage logic may overwrite more critical basic materials and parts, causing losses. Going forward, we will optimize the material storage rules so that refunded materials are retained more reasonably. Once the specific plan is confirmed, we will immediately update Metas through an announcement.

That's all for this Meta Hotline. Your feedback, including your likes and dislikes, is the foundation of Once Human's continued development. We will continue to monitor the Feedback Platform and listen closely to your views. Please keep sharing your honest opinions via the Feedback Platform. Your suggestion may make the next Hot Charts!
