Achievements

All 18 achievements now unlock correctly. Progress you already made counts: maps you've already won, bosses you've already defeated and defenses you've already built unlock right away — you don't need to replay anything.

Controller and Steam Overlay

  • The mouse cursor now hides while you're playing with a controller, and comes back as soon as you move the mouse.
  • Opening the Steam Overlay pauses the game. Alt-tabbing does too.
  • Unplugging your controller mid-run pauses the game instead of leaving you defenseless.

Enemies and balance

  • Ranged enemies no longer get stuck against barricades — they attack what blocks them or go around it.
  • Enemies pinned against a structure now fight their way through instead of standing still.
  • Late-wave pressure retuned so the final third of a run stays tense without turning into a wall.

Readability

  • Defenses now have outlines and ground shadows, so you can tell them apart from the scenery at a glance.
  • Enemies hidden behind the inn show as a red silhouette.
  • Mage bolts and ranger arrows read clearly as what they are.
  • Experience orbs are brighter and get pulled toward you when you're close.

Interface

Menus, options and the upgrade compendium were reworked to fit properly at any window size, with cleaner and more consistent typography throughout.

It's what we're actually working on and considering, not a set of promises. What players report and ask for moves things around — that's the point of publishing it. Next up · Colorblind and high-contrast modes. The game leans on color to tell defenses, elites and projectiles apart, and right now that's a problem fo…
