The Book of Truth was left beside my pillow

宿の掟 / Rules of the Inn · published 7 Sep 2026, 10:47 UTC

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Near daybreak, a book you have never seen is lying beside your pillow.
On the cover, in ink, only this: The Book of Truth.

A guest before you added a line in their own hand.

— Write down what this inn truly is.
Only those who finish may cross into morning.

In this inn the rules multiply night after night. The ink on the wall wears thin, and some mornings a rule you were sure you had memorized can no longer be read.

Before morning comes, you write into this book. Why every hand in the guestbook shares the same habit. Why the mark worn into the threshold leads inward, not out.

No one tells you the answer. All you get back is the feel of whether it holds together. How far you got changes the morning you are given.

The demo for Rules of the Inn is available now.

You notice something is wrong in the room, you follow the rules on the wall, and you get through the night. That was only half of the game. What the next update adds Searching the inn Between the nights you can walk the inn and look at things. The guest ledger, the alcove, the oil lamp, what previous guests scratched int…In-game event11 Sep 2026The trailer is upThe trailer for Rules of the Inn is now available. It shows only what matters most in this inn: the lantern's flame, the rules that keep appearing on the wall, and the thing standing behind the paper screen. One rule is added every night, and a new rule never cancels an old one. So the further you go, the more you must hold in your head at once. That moment in the second half where the screen g…
