The Book of Truth — write down what you worked out before you leave

Surviving the inn is only half of Rules of the Inn.

Across seven nights, things happen here that nothing explains: the handwriting in the guest book, the paper on the wall that keeps being replaced, the shadows the lantern throws. All of it follows the inn's own reasoning.

Before you leave, you sit down with the Book of Truth. The sentences on it have blanks, and you fill them with the words you remember from the nights.

  • No one is going to tell you the answer.
  • All you get back is a sense of how well your account holds together.
  • How much you managed to assemble decides what happens after you walk out.

Be afraid, remember, then connect it. That is the whole game.

The demo is free to play now. Full release is aimed at November 5.

You notice something is wrong in the room, you follow the rules on the wall, and you get through the night. That was only half of the game. It shows only what matters most in this inn: the lantern's flame, the rules that keep appearing on the wall, and the thing standing behind the paper screen. One rule is added every night, and a new rule never cancels an old one. So the further you go, the more you must hold in your head at once. That moment in the second half where the screen g…
