Key highlights of this update:

Shell Damage and Damage Model Rework

New mechanics have been implemented to further address and improve known damage issues, such as excessive survivability of smaller vessels and armor failing to protect non-modular hulls against blast spheres.

The new calculation model features:

  • Per-Part Blast Damage Calculation: The system queries and collects armor layers obstructing the blast path to a given part, applying them as additional armor protection for that specific part.

  • Layered Attenuation: Each additional layer of armor protection calculates a separate attenuation pass on the blast damage.

  • Immunity Threshold: Introduced a damage immunity threshold to armor attenuation calculations—thick armor can now completely block or negate lower-level damage.

  • Expanded Blast Radius: Increased shell blast radius, particularly for small-caliber High Explosive (HE) shells.

  • Depleted HP Minimum Damage: Increased the minimum damage dealt after an individual part's HP is completely depleted.

Prologue Adjustments & Fixes

  • [Adjustment] Added mission failure conditions for M1, M2, and M3 in the Prologue if the player ship unexpectedly sinks.

  • [Adjustment] Added highlighted rich text to the cease-fire prompt in Prologue M3 and optimized the Chinese localization descriptions.

  • [New] Added missing victory/defeat text across all Prologue levels.

  • [Adjustment] Optimized collision avoidance detection for the enemy cruiser in M5, which now also applies to player ships.

  • [Adjustment] Changed the deletion guide arrow in the building tutorial to red.

  • [New] Added a step-by-step tutorial flow for switching Career campaigns.

  • [Adjustment] The Prologue campaign battleship New Rubico is now awarded as an M3 level completion reward to prevent issues where skipping the tutorial resulted in the ship not being granted. (Requires uncompleted M3 status or a new save).

Bow Wave Effect Optimizations

  • Bow Wave System:

    • Particle System: Fixed an immersion-breaking issue where bow wave particles failed to spawn when the ship's bow was out of the player's direct view.

    • Reduced surface foam intensity during stormy weather.

Campaign System Optimizations

  • Reworked the uninstallation logic for Workshop campaigns: players can now uninstall any individual installed campaign.

  • Improved UI/UX for the campaign selection panel to prevent confusion when more than 3 campaigns are installed (where it previously looked like installation had failed).

  • [Drydock] Improved the visual presentation and performance of the build replay feature.

  • [Adjustment] Developer tools are now collapsed by default.

New Level

  • Quick Sortie Campaign: Hornet's Nest

    • Note: English localization for this level is incomplete and may contain minor text issues.

Update Strategy Note: We have adjusted our deployment strategy to improve update efficiency and stability. Future builds will transition toward higher-frequency, smaller updates alongside more frequent public beta tests.

This version contains no new parts. The release schedule for new parts will remain similar to previous builds, arriving roughly once a month.

In a recent update, we introduced the Port System for the main menu, allowing players to create and use custom ports through mods. We would also love to add more built-in ports to the game.
