Stop, drop, and roll, fun fans - It’s time for Dead ECHOs! This week, after a touch of cerebral theatricality, the zip zap zoperation of Watts and Junie face their most dire obstacle to date: air. Or lack thereof.
Yes, with DAHL Management breathing down our heroes’ necks, those pesky productivity-obsessed overlords have found a way to suck the oxygen out of the room. Literally.
Plus, do you like guest stars? Cantankerous cameos? Of course you freakin’ do. And have we got a digi-doozy for ya! All this, plus big sacks of cash, prestigious institutes of higher laughing, old lady wigs, Boom Rooms, attempted fridging, and more...
Borderlands: Dead ECHOs is Gearbox’s first scripted narrative podcast, a darkly comedic drama set in the chaotic Borderlands universe. It follows Watts, a disenchanted DAHL ECHO Operator, who supplements his meager pay by sifting lucrative secrets from undeliverable ECHO logs and selling them to the highest bidder. When Junie, a curious stranger with big ideas, gets him out of a jam, the two strike up an unlikely partnership. As Junie injects a daring Robin Hood twist into Watts’ amateur criminal enterprise, their ECHO-brokering operation draws attention from ruthless mercenaries, violent outlaws, and DAHL’s deadly corporate hit squad lead by power-hungry rogue executive, Vivian Proctor.
