Patch Notes: Update 0.12.6

Hello everyone, a certain number of changes have accumulated after the early access launch that we didn't manage to write down, since everything was done in a bit of a rush. Thanks to your feedback here and on Discord, it really helps to find critical things and other flaws.

This update focuses on quest reliability and combat balance - every quest was re-checked and fixed, monster health, weapon swap speed and Underside time were tuned, smarter bandit AI and new map markers were added, and a wide range of bugs were fixed.

Updates

  • All quests were re-checked, including quest exits at any stage of the quest, and errors related to them were fixed. Some flaws and various interesting cases still remain — thanks to everyone who gave feedback.

  • Time in the Other Side increased by 60 seconds.

  • Weapon swap speed increased by 25%.

  • Monster health reduced by 10%, damage increased by 7%.

  • Maximum durability of found items limited to 80.

  • Reduced the brightness of the detector bulb on the hand (when holding a pistol).

  • Added the achievement "Overseer" (you need to kill 50 bandits).

  • Added an icon for the accelerated drop in heart rate when the player crouches and doesn't move for 3 seconds.

  • Changed the principle of enemy spawning in buildings; previously they could sometimes get stuck in walls.

  • When dropping items from the inventory, they now spawn in front of the player at a small height, rather than underfoot.

  • Added crouching to bandit NPCs; they also move to the last place they saw the player.

  • Bandit NPCs aim better at small monsters; previously they hit them poorly at close range.

  • Added display of bandits on the map.

  • Added display of campfires and working research stations on the map.

  • Added a hint about the vendor and a marker on the crate when items arrive in the bunker.

  • Added an anti-aliasing selection option.

  • Added a "Continue" button in the main menu, which loads the last game.

  • Added an option to select footstep volume in the audio settings.

Fixed

  • Fixed a bug where you could complete the "read the journal" quest just by opening the journal, without interacting with the note/letter itself.

  • Fixed an incorrectly working suppressor that prevented shooting.

  • Fixed a bug where, after death, the player could take damage and immediately die in the Underside.

  • Fixed a bug where, in rare cases, the player could deal damage to themselves.

  • Fixed the saving of skills.

  • Fixed a bug where a zombie summoned by a quest did not go to attack the player, but went to a point just next to the player.

  • Fixed a bug where the display of portals, etc., by the detector could be knocked out by pressing Q during reloading/weapon swapping/using items.

  • Fixed a bug with the detector in hands, if the player died while the detector was active.

  • Fixed a bug where you couldn't take out the detector if the player was inspecting a weapon (you had to wait for the animation to finish).

  • Fixed a bug where some quest items could cause a weapon block (like a wall).

  • Fixed the issue where bandits could react to the Creature when it was in the Underside and invisible.

  • Fixed a bug where bandits sometimes reacted slowly to the player when taking damage from them.

  • Fixed the TT pistol icon during transfer.

  • Fixed a bug where crafting 7.62x39 bullets was missing from the workbench.

  • Fixed a bug where clouds on the horizon could appear at night.

  • Fixed a bug where dead bandits' flashlights could turn on when night fell, and conversely didn't turn on if the player exited the Underside and night had fallen.

  • Various minor issues on the map have been fixed.
