Me, I’m feeling conflicted: is it called a PC because it’s a personal computer or is it a personal computer because it’s called a PC? Nevertheless the gnomes closed the grid entrance so we should make haste and talk about today’s topic: how my week has been.
You know, I’m not a big fan of competitive scenarios but somehow I keep going to my local card game tournaments and, by dog, I keep getting beaten up. I mean, it is a miracle that I even manage to get outside - they had removed the doors and put up windows in their place here, but now they replaced half the windows with a miniature recreation of the entire house - sometimes I feel like I’m trapped in an ‘M.C.Escher’ painting.
The devs are all of Brazilian origin, so sometimes they just speak in tongues to me. (‘We’ll have to make a plan b’). 🅱💡
Tell me, have you ever played digimon world 4? I did, many years ago and like, before ‘yester-night’. Anywho, me and the foreman were casually talking about how our game has changed from an extraction shooter to a more level based, arcadey shooter.
See, when I first started I worked for like a month on making this big world map for the devs to come up with missions - a hybrid of quests and ‘escape from the zone’ gameplay. Well, that whole batch of work has been entirely discarded; for one I didn’t make it good at all, but two, the gameplay was just kinda sucking {{{(>_<)}}}
I think he’s onto me… Although I don’t remember mentioning his skill issue. 🤔
Now you may be thinking to yourself ‘should I order pizza tonight? it is a dull monday and I am kinda feeling hungry already’. Me, I’d order that pizza 🍕(although not right now, it’s currently not even lunchtime proper⏰). As for how we moved on with the game, we just agreed to make something that felt good to play, even if it meant taking some steps back. Now we got quite a few quests done and the gameplay flow is much better. I mean, one of the devs got out of work and just kept playing the damn thing, that’s gotta be a good sign right?
Sometimes you just gotta do it to them. Well, you or your teammates. Sometimes they do it to you.
Speaking of good signs, the gnomes have left me a not this week: ‘.ᴉ?ɐƃʇ ʃʎƃᴉ ƃəʃʃ𝓷.Ϻɥ.ʇʇḓɹ?ɐՌʎ’. I’m not a specialist in foreign languages but I think that has a pretty positive intonation, don’t you? Big fan of that bold N right there, gotta be one of my favorite 34 letters of all time.
