Hail Vikings!
We bring tidings from the lands of Várenheim and details on the playtest in June!
First, we want to fill you in on some details about the new features in the upcoming playtest, and then we want to tell you about our new Founding Raiders Warband on Discord.
New Basic Attack
We are bringing in a new basic attack for enemies to balance out the ability for you to pick a variety of builds. Now, when enemies get near you, they will stop for a moment and then leap towards you quickly, only dealing damage during that leap. With clever movement and situational control, you should be able to stay out of harm's way, allowing for more agile builds compared to before.
Cave Generation
So far, our instance test has used the same layout every time, but now we are introducing procedurally generated caves that will make each exploration different and more engaging. There will be more treasure to find, but also more and less predictable challenges. The system is new, so please enjoy it and see if you can break it!
Power-Up System Update
The Power-Up system has been updated with all-new stats and buffs. It functions much the same as before, but there are now many more power-ups to collect and use. All the power-ups are now implemented, but not all the features are in, such as Hunting Blood, so you might not see an effect from all the power-ups.
Axe Combinations
We are testing out our first weapon combination, the Explosion Axe and the Poison Axe. It can be acquired by getting both axes to level 9 and then picking up a Gears of Tuning Pick-Up to combine them. Combined weapons are stronger than their individual parts, get a new attack pattern that combines the power of both weapons, and take up only one inventory slot, leaving space for a new weapon.

Founding Raiders Warband
We strive to engage with you as much as possible, aiming to get feedback from you as often as possible, and just talking to you. But we feel like we can do better. So, to that end, we have started the Founding Raiders Warband, a group on our Discord server for those who are interested in Nanokings and want to hear more about the game.
We plan to post regularly about the art of the Nanokings, features, funny moments, and more, as well as invite Founding Raiders to join us in playing games together.
