Hi miners, 😄

Thank you very much for your continued support, reports, feedback, and suggestions.

Following the performance improvements introduced in the previous update, we are continuing our optimization work with a larger set of improvements aimed at more developed and complex mining facilities.

This update includes optimizations for loading, saving, Main Menu responsiveness, employee task searching, world information displays, and additional background systems that can become heavier as factories continue to grow.

We have also rebalanced the mining spot pools in Cave Area 3 based on player feedback, and expanded Delivery Train progression with additional capacity upgrades.

Performance results may still vary depending on the device, save size, and factory layout. These improvements are part of our ongoing optimization work, and we will continue reviewing performance and making further improvements in upcoming updates.

Here is what is available in the latest version.

Performance Improvements

1. Faster Loading, Saving & Main Menu Responsiveness

We have made several improvements to reduce the workload involved when opening, loading, and saving larger game saves.

Large and heavily developed saves should now load more efficiently, while the loading screen remains more responsive during the process.

Saving has also been optimized to reduce the amount of work required when storing large amounts of factory data.

The Main Menu has also been improved so save information can be handled more efficiently, reducing unnecessary waiting when opening the menu with larger or multiple save files.

The impact of these improvements may vary depending on the size of the save and the device being used.

Existing save files remain compatible with these changes.

2. Dense Factory Display Optimization

Large factories can contain many boxes, machines, racks, monitors, and information displays that do not always need to remain active when they are far away from the player.

To reduce unnecessary processing, several world information displays now use proximity-based visibility.

This includes:

  • Box labels

  • Machine monitors and information widgets

  • Rack information displays

  • Delivery-related information displays

These elements will now appear when the player approaches them and become hidden again when moving farther away.

This behavior is intentional and helps reduce unnecessary UI and text processing in larger factories where many objects may be present at the same time.

We have also made additional background optimizations to how world text, machine information, box visuals, and other repeated display updates are processed.

3. Employee Performance Optimization

We have continued optimizing how employees search for available tasks.

In larger mining operations with many employees and potential tasks, employee task searching can create additional processing workload.

This update reduces unnecessary work during those searches while keeping the intended employee task behavior unchanged.

These optimizations are especially helpful in facilities where many employees are simultaneously handling tasks such as restocking, box management, and other automated activities.

Main Updates

1. Expanded Delivery Train Capacity

Delivery Train capacity progression has been expanded with five additional upgrade levels.

The new capacity upgrades are:

  • 2,000 capacity — available from Level 22

  • 2,250 capacity — available from Level 24

  • 2,500 capacity — available from Level 26

  • 2,750 capacity — available from Level 28

  • 3,000 capacity — available from Level 30

These upgrades are available through the existing Delivery Train upgrade system and can be applied across all currently available Delivery Trains.

Increasing train capacity allows more packaged mining products to be transported in a single delivery, providing additional progression as production volume grows in larger late-game facilities.

Improvements

1. Cave Area 3 Mining Spot Rebalance

Based on player feedback, we have rebalanced the material pools available across mining spots in Cave Area 3.

Previously, players with a high Survey Level could gain access to too many of the new minerals relatively early in the Level 20 progression.

The available minerals are now distributed more gradually across mining spots with higher Level requirements, creating more variety as players continue progressing through Cave Area 3.

A higher Survey Level will continue to provide advantages, but its effect is now focused more on improving the available mineral chances and the grades that can be discovered rather than immediately exposing the full range of minerals at earlier mining spots.

Mining spot grade pools have also been adjusted individually. Some spots can still produce Grade C materials even at a high Survey Level, while later or higher-level mining spots may provide stronger grade ranges starting from Grade B or Grade A where appropriate.

These changes are intended to make exploration and progression through Cave Area 3 more gradual and varied instead of making most of the new minerals available too early.

Important Note for Existing Cave Area 3 Progress

If you excavated mining spots in Cave Area 3 before this update, the material pool available at those spots may change after updating.

As a result, factory setups, filters, or other configurations that were specifically set to handle a certain material from a particular mining spot may need to be reviewed, as that material may no longer be available from the same spot after the rebalance.

Thank you again for your continued support, reports, and feedback.

Performance optimization remains an ongoing part of development, especially as mining facilities grow larger and more complex. We will continue reviewing different factory layouts, save conditions, and player reports to identify additional areas that can be improved.

We will also continue reviewing progression and balance feedback as more players explore the expanded Cave Area 3 content.

Existing saves remain compatible with this update, so you can continue your current mining operation and benefit from the new optimizations. However, please review mining setups connected to existing Cave Area 3 spots if their material availability has changed following the rebalance.

If you encounter any issues or unexpected behavior, please report them through the in-game report feature or through the Steam Discussions page so we can investigate further.

See you in the next update!
