DevLog #3 - How Survival Shapes Phantom Line

In this DevLog, we explore a core feature we’ve barely talked about until now! 🙌

Survival is more than staring at a hunger bar - it exists to ground you in the world. In Phantom Line, it naturally ties into other aspects of the game, such as managing inventory space, looting, and preparing for missions. We see it as a small but meaningful part of the experience that complements our other features.

We’ve rebuilt survival alongside our other core systems to be modular, flexible, and rock-solid. This gives us the foundation to continue building new mechanics that work together seamlessly. Hazard zones (used for toxic gas and radiation) are a great example of that. Watch the DevLog to see how it all comes together for the kind of immersive gameplay that defines Phantom Line.

Watch DevLog ❤️

DevLogs are in-depth looks at what we’ve been building behind the scenes, where we share what went wrong, the lessons learnt along the way, and how it all connects to our vision for the game. This series is the best place to stay up to date on the latest Phantom Line news, and help shape what comes next!

Exciting stuff! 😉
