Thank you for the reports! Version 2.5.1 fixes the two problems you told us about. Your fish, cards and gold are all safe, and there is nothing you need to do.
"My merged fish disappeared"
No fish were deleted. Every merged copy was added to another fish of the same kind. The game just did a bad job of showing you where it went. Two things made merging look like cards were vanishing:
- Merge all could send your cards into the tank. If a fish of the same kind at ★5 or higher was swimming in the tank you had open, Merge all in My Cards added every copy to that fish. The cards left My Cards, and the fish in the tank only gained merge points that you could not see unless you opened its window.
- From ★5, copies become merge points. Above ★5, extra copies do not make a new card. They become points on your best card of that kind (16 copies take a ★5 to ★6, the next 32 take it to ★7, and so on). Merging a few hundred cards therefore collapses them into about one card per fish. All of their value is still there, but the points were only shown when you selected the card.
Where to find them: open that fish's window in the tank, or select its ★5+ card in My Cards. The rarity line shows its stars and points, for example ★6 · 12/32. Those points count toward the next star and toward the card's sell value.
What changed
- Merge all now only merges cards inside My Cards. It never touches the fish in your tank. To add copies to a fish in the tank, use the Merge button in that fish's window, as before.
- ★5 and higher cards show their merge points right on the card, for example 12/32.
- A merge never uses up a bigger card to grow a smaller one. The smallest copies are always used first.
Feeding lag
Fish only eat when they are hungry, and one pellet keeps a fish full for 12 hours. The Feed button still dropped three pellets for every fish, even when they were all full, so uneaten food piled up for about a minute and slowed the game down. Eaten pellets were already removed right away. The lag came from the leftovers.
- Feed now drops about one pellet per hungry fish, plus a few extra.
- Leftover food melts away within a couple of seconds once every fish is full.
- There can be at most 150 pellets in the tank at once, even while you hold the right mouse button.
The same fixes are in the free demo. Thanks again for playing and for telling us what went wrong!
