OVERHEAT PROTOCOL v0.4.1

This focused patch improves combat effects, Protocol build progression, interface readability, and crosshair customization.

FONT AND UI IMPROVEMENTS

  • The font system has been rebuilt with a cleaner role-based structure.
  • Text overlap and spacing issues affecting some languages have been significantly reduced.
  • Fixed dropdown text occasionally appearing blank or incorrectly positioned.

SHRAPNEL REWORK

  • Shrapnel now uses physical launch forces, gravity, directional spread, and controlled target tracking.
  • Fragments can distribute across multiple directions or converge on a focused target depending on the selected behavior.
  • Enemies now enter the normal death and ragdoll sequence when both legs are severed.

PROTOCOL SYSTEM UPDATES

  • Effect activation and target acquisition distances have been doubled.
  • The Protocol trigger selection has been updated with Critical Hit and Opening Shot.
  • Opening Shot activates after not firing for 1.5 seconds.
  • After completing the first three-card build, players can now begin constructing a second build instead of being forced to replace the original one.

CROSSHAIR CUSTOMIZATION

  • Added a new dot crosshair profile.
  • Improved crosshair settings localization and interface readability.
