Ore Bastards · published · build 24849691

Hi Bastards!
Today’s update focuses on two frequently requested improvements: proper high-resolution rendering and inventory sorting.
We identified an issue affecting players using 1440p and other resolutions above 1080p.
Previously, the game could run in a 2560×1440 window while the actual game world was still being rendered internally at 1920×1080 and then scaled up. This could make the image appear blurry, jagged, or lower-resolution than expected.
The rendering system has now been revised so that supported high resolutions are rendered natively.
For example:
1920×1080 now renders at 1920×1080
2560×1440 now renders at 2560×1440
3840×2160 now renders at 3840×2160
The visible gameplay area remains the same, so higher-resolution players do not gain a larger field of view — the same scene is simply rendered using more pixels.
We’ve tested the new system and everything appears to be working correctly, but feedback from players is especially welcome.
Sorting controls have been added to both the Station Inventory and Ship Inventory in the Outfitter.

Sorting can also be switched between ascending and descending order.
The Station Inventory and Ship Inventory use the same sorting mode, making it much easier to compare equipment on both sides.
The default sorting option preserves the original inventory order.
Thanks again to everyone reporting issues and suggesting improvements on the Steam forums.
We’ll continue working through player feedback while also expanding Ore Bastards’ larger gameplay systems.
More soon.
