Tutorial & QoL Update — Videos will save us!

Hi everyone

For anyone who opened the Playtest page for the first time and has no idea where they ended up: SuperWEIRD is an automation roguelite where you build production chains and command an army of very clumsy, slightly stupid robots. Some of them are smarter, some of them are more stupid.

One way or another, little by little, with the help of automation — and recently also with the help of your friends, who you can now invite into the playtest — you rebuild, piece by piece, a planet destroyed by a terrible Corruption called Goofy Goo.

Today we have another SuperWEIRD update for you. And, as always, we really need videos from people joining the playtest.

We need pretty much everything.

1. If this is your first time playing, please record the tutorial — it is especially important for us to understand how clear and interesting it feels now.
2. If you can, keep recording and play for as long as possible. We want to see how the runs actually play out.
3. We also still have quite a lot of bugs in co-op. We know that for some people it crashes constantly, and we do receive reports about it, but unfortunately the reports alone usually aren't enough for us to understand where the problem is. To figure out what is broken, we really need to see a video of the co-op session and the moment it crashes. Please send us your recordings.

What did we add in this update?

At first glance, it may look like nothing particularly special. But behind the scenes there are a lot of small changes, tutorial improvements, and quality-of-life changes. We also added a little more comic content and story.

We added a final statistics screen at the end of every run in this patch, so you could look back at all the cool stuff you managed to do with your friends and congratulate yourselves on how well you did.

We also improved some of the sounds in the game and changed one of the windows where you assemble the little planet from its pieces.

And we slightly limited the amount of content available in the demo. We hope you're not too upset about that.

By the way, check out the amazing things our players are creating in-game! We absolutely fell in love with this map, honestly.

If you're playing the update, please record your sessions and send us the videos. First playthroughs, long runs, co-op sessions, crashes — right now all of it is extremely useful for us.
