Game update

v0.17.4 - Improved Vegetation Rendering

I finally upgraded the vegetation rendering engine for v0.17.4 and also upgraded the Unity engine from 6000.0 to 6000.3

Bug fixes:
* The vegetation disappearing bug is *mostly* resolved: it happens far less frequently, and when it does, it's only for a couple of minutes before it returns.
* Tornado tracks now accurately reflect the wind speed when chemically-altered
* Screenshots in fullscreen mode work again, you can also move the screen the game is on with windows + shift + left/right arrow

New features:
* The mini-map will remember which button you had selected last with a controller so you don't have to keep re-selecting the buttons you need (really useful for quick deploy and quick recall)
* The tornadoes emit a roar that gets louder with proximity and tornado strength, it's actually quite terrifying
* When you customise the options in career mode (difficulty and hunts enabled/disabled) or sandbox mode (all the sliders on the final step: hunts enabled, timings, tornado spawn speed, day and night duration etc.) it now saves these between sessions, so you don't have to change them every time you play
* You can now toggle tornado trail overlays
* Chemicals are now released quicker if the tornado is more intense. Instead of increasing 1 unit per sample, they increase 2 units for F2/F3 tornadoes and 3 units for F4/F5 units.
* Trees now react to wind
* The probe wind display will show the F-rating uncapped, I just had an F26 tornado on stream with wind speeds peaking above 2000mph

In-game event16 Sep 2026Barns, Farms & Industrial Zones - v0.32.0v0.32.0 is part of my ongoing effort to make the map feel more alive and populated. I still have a long way to go but this feels like a step in the right direction. We now have farmsteads that are procedurally generated, the positioning and types of silos, hay bales, vehicles, houses and so on are all randomised. Some will have a shelterbelt, other's wont, some will have one that wraps around t…In-game event12 Sep 2026v0.31.0 - Tornado Logbook & Updated Tornado BehaviourI am genuinely excited to release this update! (v0.31.0) it introduces a tornado logbook, consisting of personal bests/records and an individual record of every tornado you intercept. Each photo you take is associated with each tornado, so you can go through your logbook, see key stats about the tornado, and flick through the photos that give an overview of the tornado's life cycle. This is rea…In-game event6 Sep 2026Introducing the SD60 Freight Train! - v0.30.0Version 0.30.0 brings something I have wanted to add for quite a while: a freight train and level crossings, in this case the SD60. There will always be at least one freight train line, maximum two, and freight trains will move along them between 10-40mph. There are also level crossings so they can block you when trying to escape a tornado! I have also updated the vehicle impact physics so road…
