General
Hello SlingerZ! We hope you have enjoyed last month’s Everything Update! This week, we have various UI/UX improvements for you, so let’s get right into it! Before that though, please take a moment to check out our new gameplay trailer which can be found here:
------------------------------
Keyboard Controls
The default keyboard controls have changed. While moving/code inputting has remained the same, the rest of the control defaults have changed.
‘U’: Tap/Hold for Basic Attack/Code-Weave state
‘I’: Jump/Select Menu Options
‘O’: Slide
------------------------------
Solo Lobby
A brand new starting lobby has been added into the game: the solo lobby! Upon entering the game, players will now be spawned into a solo lobby with the option to enter the training modes (training room and tutorial) or the multiplayer modes (online, matchmaking, and local play).
Solo Lobby
Initially we wanted everything to be accessible from our old lobby, now the multiplayer lobby, but due to a hard screen space limit and an expanding list of features and options, a new space for players to access these modes was needed.
------------------------------
Online Matchmaking
Spell Code SlingerZ now has online matchmaking so you can play with more than just your friends! To access it, simply head to the “play” door in the solo lobby, set the player lobby count you are looking for, then hit “Find Match!” Players will first be put into solo instances of the multiplayer lobby before being joined together.
Matchmaking
Please note that we are still working on developing UI to better communicate that you ARE matchmaking and not just sitting there alone.
------------------------------
Bot Behavior Terminal
A new terminal called the “Bot Behavior Terminal” has been added to the training room! This blue terminal situated on the platform above the training bot allows you to modify its behavior into 3 different states: Idle, Basic Attack, and Armor.

Options
The options menu has received a makeover as well as some new settings to play around with! There are now separate menus for Volume, Controls, and Display settings which can all be seen below.
