Hey there, Escapists!

We haven’t dove into any escape rooms in a while, so you might be wondering what some of the later escape rooms look like; Worry not, because today we’re going over…

Death Of An Artist! A Narrative-Driven Escape Room

This escape room is unlike anything else we’ve put in the game. This time around, you’ll follow a mini-arc within the Art Campus' own theater. But just as the play is about to begin, disaster strikes! The lead, Edie Quill, is nowhere to be found!

(If you watched out NextFest stream, then you’ll know we snuck in a little cutaway gag as a sneak peek for this level. Keep reading to learn more 💛💜😉)

You can’t have a murder mystery without a detective to mystery the murder. If you want to put on the best, awe-striking, show-stopping, inspiring play this school has ever seen, you’ll need to 🔒LOCK IN.🔒There’s been a murder in Crime City! You’ll have to use your cunning wits in order to solve this one. You’ll have to perform your lines perfectly in front of a definitely-not-judgemental audience, or face the wrath of….gasp….social ostracization!

This level is a bit of a whimsical journey that focuses a lot on Enora Chortkoff’s character and the many quirks that come with her. Here, you’ll learn about the cutthroat ship she runs on stage, although that’s not without flaws. She wants to roll (or rather, direct) with the best of the best. Although, that doesn’t mean that she has the necessary….how do you say, “skill” to do so.

Duty Calls!

Are you ready to answer the (literal) call of duty and get to work, Detective? I hope so, because you’re not progressing the story if you don’t pick up that phone. Good luck.

Can you use the evidence left behind to solve the murder? Or will Peter’s (definitely real, not-for-a-play) death all be for nought? The fate of Crime City lies in your hands, Escapist!

This level was heavily inspired by all of those low-budget school plays that so many of us are familiar with. We felt that this was a spot where we could really let Enora’s character shine through, and it has been especially fun to design a level so literally based in the “academy” part of Escape Academy.

Do you think that you’ll be able to solve the mystery and remember all of your lines, or will Ruby take the fall for nothing? Let us know what you think!

4 Years Of Escape Academy!

Can you believe it’s already been nearly 4 years? Monday, June 13 marks 4 years since Escape Academy hit the digital shelves. In order to celebrate, Escape Academy is going on sale! Come celebrate 4 years of escape rooms, plot twists, and high-stakes puzzle solving with us!

It wouldn’t have been possible for us to make a sequel without all of the love the first game received, so we’d like to give a heartfelt thanks to all of our friends and fans who have read every blog post, checked every Discord announcement, and been there for the ride. This wouldn’t have been possible without you. Thank you.

That’s all for today. We’ll see you in the next one, Escapist.

Much Love,

Coin Crew Games💛💜

While the Campus Gardens isn’t an official campus in the traditional sense, we still would like to include it when talking about the campus areas, because just like The Quad, this scenic beauty shouldn’t be underestimated.
