We are thrilled to announce that version 0.9.4 will be officially live on June 25, 2026, at 10:00 AM PDT / 1:00 PM EDT / 17:00 UTC!
0.9.4 marks a huge milestone with the arrival of our very first new characters: Assassin and Runner! We’re also packing this update with highly requested Quality of Life improvements. Among them, you will be able to hear player’s voice chat now while in spectator mode, and we have implemented a Push-to-Mute feature requested by our streaming community. We hope you enjoy these features, and thank you again for your patience!
Additionally, we are taking further steps forward to address one of KILLER INN’s biggest current challenges: supporting and helping out new players.
① Redefining “New Players” (Beginners)
You are a New Player / Beginner until you...
Previously: Play 20 matches
Now: Play 30 matches OR achieve 10 kills
② New Player Protection (Buffs) in Casual Matches
To ease the learning curve, players in their beginner period will receive the following buffs during Casual Matches:
+25% damage reduction
+50% debuff resistance
+50% gold gain
+50% XP gain
A stunner in your guest room
A Note on Matchmaking & Balance
While matching players of identical skill levels is our ideal goal, due to our current matchmaking player pool, new players and veterans frequently end up in the same matches. To bridge this experience and skill gap, we have decided to implement these beginner buffs. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and adjust the numbers as needed.
Please Note
Veteran players who intentionally exploit or abuse these "beginner buffs" with malicious intent will be flagged for griefing/disruptive behavior. If you encounter anyone abusing this system, please report them using the in-game reporting tool.
