Hello Luditect Developers and Designers!

We are thrilled to bring you v1.0.8, an update packed with workflow-accelerating features designed to make your editor experience smoother than ever! This release focuses on refining editor controls, boosting documentation tools, and making the user interface feel much smarter.

Here is a breakdown of the major highlights in v1.0.8:

⌨️ Lightning-Fast Layer Switching (Z-Order) Managing the depth hierarchy of elements in the LevelEditor is now effortless. Instead of wrestling with manual adjustments, simply select any element and press the ↑ / ↓ arrow keys to step it forward or backward through layers. Want to push it to the absolute top or bottom? The Shift + ↑ / ↓ shortcut will get it there instantly. We have also fixed the root bug where middle-click dragging would unexpectedly drop or reset positioning.

🎯 Cursor-Pivot Smart Zoom Navigating large maps or massive scenario trees is no longer a hassle. When zooming with Ctrl + +/- or Numpad keys in both the LevelEditor and ScenarioEditor, the viewport now tracks your mouse cursor dynamically instead of centering blindly on the screen. This perfectly mirrors the seamless feel of scroll-wheel zooming.

💬 Leave Notes on Your Designs: New Comment System If you love leaving reminders for yourself or coordinating with team members, this feature is for you.

  • In the LevelEditor, a dedicated comment textarea has been added to the properties panel. Elements with notes are highlighted with a yellow ! badge, revealing their text in a clean tooltip on hover.

  • In the ScenarioEditor, a comment sidebar is now available for all node types, accompanied by a yellow message icon on the active node.

📄 Upgraded Document Editor & Hyperlinks To streamline your documentation processes, we have added the Ctrl + Shift + X shortcut for Strikethrough text. Alongside this, the hyperlink management system has been completely redesigned: editing existing links pre-fills fields automatically, internal document paths auto-expand, and removing links takes just a single click. Furthermore, cross-document loading times have been optimized and paired with a sleek "Navigating..." indicator.

🏷️ Instant Task Label Picker Organizing your boards in TaskManagement is now completely seamless. Task cards now feature a tag icon in the top-right corner that appears on hover. Clicking it opens a quick popover menu, letting you change or remove task colors and labels in seconds without ever dealing with full-screen modals.

🛠️ Squashed Bugs & Under-the-Hood Improvements We have eliminated several minor visual bugs, interface sync glitches, and micro-stutters across the editor. This ensures a much more reliable, stable, and solid Luditect framework going forward.

Thank you for your continuous feedback, which helps us shape Luditect into the ultimate tool.

Happy designing!
