Hello, Mechanics
The hot weather is gradually giving way to cooler days. Development on our next title is steadily progressing, with the main story now taking shape through to its ending and character animations being produced one by one.
Along with these development updates, we would also like to share some news about the crowdfunding campaign that many of you have been waiting for.
Here is the September development update for our next title, [D1AL-ogue+].
Puzzle Mechanic Introduction: This is a puzzle mechanic that we briefly showed in a previous development log.
When a tile affected by a debuff is merged, the tiles in the same column are removed as well. Using this mechanic strategically can be a great help when solving puzzles.
Maya Repair Animation: A new repair animation has been added, showing a slightly different side of Maya than usual.
Eva Animation: Eva's character animation has been added.
New Character Animation: A character animation has been added for a mysterious new guest. What could have brought this guest to Chroma City?
Controller Improvements: We are conducting playtest QA with a controller while checking and improving areas that feel inconvenient during gameplay. In particular, we are focusing on whether the controls are easy to understand and whether navigating and selecting elements in the UI feels comfortable.
New In-Game Content: We have added collectible content that can be obtained as you progress through the game. We will reveal more of it later together with the UI.
Main Story Structure Completed: The main story for the next title has now taken shape through to its ending. We are currently working on refining the overall flow and the finer details.
SFX & Visual Review: We will review the sound effects and visual effects needed throughout the game and continue improving areas where the presentation still needs additional work.
Further Controller Testing: We will continue improving the controller experience and further test whether the controls remain consistent and intuitive across different UI elements and gameplay situations.
Art Production: We will create new animations showing repair areas opening during repair scenes, while also refining previously created character and background assets. Additional work and polishing will be carried out where needed to improve the overall quality.
Main Story / Character Stories: We will continue refining the overall flow and details of the main story structure that is now in place. We also plan to create additional character stories that further expand on each character's individual story.
We previously announced that we planned to hold a crowdfunding campaign during the summer, but unfortunately, we were unable to proceed with it within the timeframe we had originally planned. We sincerely apologize to all the Mechanics who have been waiting for it.
Since then, we have found a publisher who shares the same vision as us, and we have decided to move forward together with the preparations for [D1AL-ogue+].
We plan to share further details alongside the reveal of the store page at a later date. Once again, thank you to everyone who has waited for and supported us. We hope you'll continue to follow our future updates.
Thank you to everyone who enjoys our game and creates such wonderful fanart. Here are some of the precious works you've shared.
