Update 1.51.0
Players here type in six languages, and from today none of them is a wall: one click turns a Shout, a whisper or a guild line into yours. Your character also went back to posture school, and now stands and runs the way the classic taught. Parties, meanwhile, just became a much better deal.
You must update your client to log in. Close the game and the launcher, then reopen the launcher and press PLAY. On Steam the update is automatic.
New
- Chat translation is live. A message written in another language now ends with a small box, in Chat History (F9), in the whisper window and in group chats. Click the box and the message is translated into your language; point at it to see what they really wrote. Each day some messages are translated for you without clicking. Choose your language in the F12 menu, under "Translate chat to my language": English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, Korean or Chinese.
- New Auto-Translation service in the Coin Shop: for 30 EVO Coins, chat is translated automatically for 30 days on every character of your account, into the language you pick when you buy it. It pauses while you are away from the keyboard, and buying it again adds 30 more days.
- The Coin Shop now has two tabs, Items and Services.
- You can choose which title to show right from your character sheet (F5): click the line under your name.
- Picking "I have never played" on your first login opens the new beginner's guide in your browser, in your language.
- Windows that had no Close button now show an (X) in the top-right corner.
Improved
- Standing in peace, standing in combat and running have been re-posed to match the classic stances, for both the male and the female character and everything they wear.
- The Direboar and the Liche have been rebuilt in 3D with far more fluid animation. Worth another look on your next hunt.
- The Combat tab (F5) colours each resistance dial by where the points come from, and hovering a dial lists every source.
- Monsters queuing up behind each other step around and surround you, and the ones in Death Valley and Silent Wood spread across the whole map.
Changed
- Parties earn much more shared experience: 50% more from every kill with two members, 90% more with three, 125% more with four, growing up to triple with a full party of nine. The Global Party keeps its previous bonus.
- Frozen now depends on the Ice talent. With Icy Veins (Ice, level 55) it keeps its full duration, up to 9 seconds with an ascended Mass Chill Wind. Every other caster freezes for less than half as long, 4.2 seconds at most. With 6 rebirths, Icy Veins adds 2 seconds to a Frozen that is already running, up to 9.
- Entering the world no longer makes you immune to Frozen for 30 seconds.
- Hits of 10 damage or less no longer break your cast. Against harder hits, Concentration gives you a chance of up to 20%, based on Vitality and Intelligence, to keep casting.
- Monsters now stick to a target, go after whoever they paralyze, and no longer free them with their own magic. Monster Paralyze lasts 20 seconds; player-versus-player Paralyze lasts 30.
- Only the Pick Axe can mine ore veins; combat axes no longer work as a mining tool.
- Quests come back 22 hours after your third completion instead of 24.
- Several necklaces and rings are now rarer: the protection necklaces and Magic Necklaces from the Ogre, Werewolf, Ettin and Mountain Giant, the Ring of Grand Mage from the Nizie and the Master Mage Orc, and the Emerald Ring from the Plant and the Claw Turtle.
- The chat filter no longer censors plain exclamations that are not aimed at anyone. Slurs, harassment and insults directed at a person are still filtered.
Fixed
- Several client crashes: one when reconnecting after a lost connection, and others when an item disappeared while its drop, sell or amount window was still open.
- The drop confirmation and the Bank, Shared Bank and Guild Warehouse windows show above the inventory bag.
- If your login and your game connection reach the server from different networks, you get a message that says so.
- The Archery double-hit tooltip states that on a critical the second hit is a plain shot.
