Hiya!
Another Tavern Simulator is almost here, and I wanted to share what I've been up to lately.
The tavern has changed a lot over the past few weeks.
I've reworked drink making and the recipe book, added more things to do, and brought changing seasons to the valley.
I even tackled optimization. That was its own special kind of hell, but the game runs noticeably better now. If you run into frame drops or anything else after launch, send me a message. We'll figure it out.
There are special guests in the valley now, too, each with their own stories and quests.
I wanted you to be able to talk to them, not just take their orders, so a writer joined us to help bring their personalities and dialogue to life. Alex, thank you!
And yes, we even have a minimap now. Almost like The Witcher!
The last two weeks have been pretty long: eight hours at my day job, then another ten or so working on the game. Three people have been helping me test it before release. Sometimes I find myself chasing the same bug for the tenth time. I swear I tested it! But each round makes the tavern a little cozier and the game a little more dependable.
More than anything, I want you to be able to come home after your day, make a couple of drinks, get to know the locals, and just unwind.
See you behind the bar soon! P.S. Also, a little shout-out to a certain fluffy princess out there :)
