Water, Handling & Tropical Update

Preview of changes coming in the next build.

Dive into the turn

  • Tight turns now build as the bow digs into the water, with smoother steering buildup and recovery.
  • Feather your forward lean to control dive pressure. A deeper carve tightens the turn but costs momentum.
  • Overcommitting can slide the stern out. Ease toward neutral or countersteer to recover.
  • Neutral lean provides predictable cornering; leaning back opens the turn radius and preserves speed for straightaways.
  • AI riders account for the revised handling and ease out of submerged corners before accelerating.

Spray & splashes

  • Added a rear jet rooster tail with a translucent water stream and fine spray, building with throttle and speed.
  • Added gentle engine-idle ripples and light aeration behind the jet outlet, blending into the travelling wake as speed rises.
  • Replaced the old spray particles with curved water sheets and finer droplets.
  • Added expanding splash crowns for landings and breaches.
  • Spray responds to speed, immersion and cornering, using the active water's colors and scene lighting.
  • Unified spray presentation across the player, AI riders and online riders.

More water interaction

  • Reduced resistance when initiating dives and allowed deeper hull immersion.
  • Deeper dives produce higher rebounds, with lift carrying through the surface exit.
  • Wave landings respond to approach angle and water-surface movement.
  • Added surface spray for deep entries and breaches, including other online riders.

Tropical free ride refresh

  • New island textures, palms, coastal vegetation, rocks and cliff faces.
  • Rebuilt the sea cave with connected cliffs and a clear riding passage.
  • Added denser palm groves, grass and underwater reef gardens.
  • Added animated volumetric clouds.
  • Multiplayer Tropical Free Ride now loads the refreshed tropical environment.

Rider fit

  • Revised overall proportions with a fuller chest and shoulders.
  • Lowered the seated position and relaxed the handlebar reach.
  • Adjusted knee positioning and refined boot placement in the footwells.
