PRONOUNCE ANYTHING YOU CAN PASTE

I could have made things easier for everybody by pregenerating audio files and shipping them with the game. You might wonder why I didn't, and finally, I can explain, by presenting the live, locally-generated text-to-speech generation tool, that ships free with FlashBoss.

Hit Ctrl+P in FlashBoss to open the PiperTTS window, then paste or type any text and hear it in a natural neural voice. It works for every language you have installed, which includes English, German and Esperanto out of the gate.

The tool also allows you to make long, high-quality audio recordings. 5000 words is a safe working limit for now on most machines; roughly equivalent to a chapter of text. Much more on newer machines.

There is also a standalone launcher in the game folder, so you can open the speech window without starting FlashBoss. On Linux, click PiperTTS.desktop. On Mac, double-click PiperTTS.app — no Terminal needed (it's unsigned, so the first time, right-click and choose Open). On Windows, double-click PiperTTS.vbs — no console window. Bind any of these to a hotkey or pin it for instant, fully offline access.

SUMMER 2026

All scheduled content has been released for Summer 2026. German, Spanish, Italian, Esperanto and the beginning of the English Roots series and the free English pack schema: English Advance and Adept. Big advancements have been made, and will continue to be made on the website. Full word lists and all lessons are available now, as well as the boss fight-demo. All resources have share links, so if you find them interesting or useful, please pass them on.

CHANGELOG

Bug fixes:

- "Drive" now shows your actual streak-protection buffer (days of cover), not your lifetime grimoire count.

- Changing your master correctly recalculates streak, foundation, and epic tracking.

- Master message system repaired: correct routing, frequencies, and end-of-content handling.

- Next-tier detection fixed for contiguous tiers.

- Profile name reuse no longer blocked by leftover entries.

- Tier-skip card counts and virgin-day queue handling fixed.

- Drive double-count fixed; drive logic unified across the system. (sorry)

Polish and UX:

- Profile "Trajectory" now gives a real completion estimate in days, weeks, or moons.

- Tier-skip screens polished: spacing, padding, shorter cluster names, completion banner.

- Foundation-day messaging and card-update screen polish. Audio-cache English submenu added.

- Cluster-training flow refined with engagement-aware progress display.

FINAL WORD

It had been my intention before launch to include this pronunciation tool, and it had been bothering me every day that it wasn't available yet. Like everything with FlashBoss, it will improve over time.

The next direction for FlashBoss is being considered: more languages, more varied content, better UI, or a mobile version. In the meantime, I'm working on quality improvements to the material that exists. Error reporting will be addressed if there is any example found of content error on the cards themselves.

If you're enjoying FlashBoss, a review on the store page would be hugely appreciated.

Thank you for taking an interest in FlashBoss, and my best wishes with your language learning endeavours.
