Friends!
The spookiest date of the year is just around the corner! The new event is already live in-game, but do you have what it takes to venture into the unknown?
Corruption is a team-based mode with asymmetric gameplay. Survivors must make it to the end of the round without being turned into zombies, while the zombies must corrupt all survivors before time runs out. Once corrupted, a player turns into a zombie and starts fighting against their former teammates. Each round lasts 4 minutes.
At the beginning of each round, three survivors are randomly selected to be corrupted. They are warned in advance that they have been chosen and will soon turn into zombies. During the match, power-ups will appear for both sides, helping survivors hold out until the end of the match while giving the corrupted a chance to put even more pressure on their desperate former teammates.
Gunslinger. A self-loading revolver that deals increased damage to zombies.
Gravedigger. Turns the player into a zombie hunter armed with a powerful sapper shovel. Killing zombies restores the player’s health.
Juggernaut. Grants a minigun and an explosive-resistant suit that can turn the tide of battle in the final seconds.
The round timer can be reduced when a survivor picks up the Juggernaut power-up. In addition, survivors who win a round while using Juggernaut receive a bonus for the next round that increases their stamina and movement speed.
Regular Zombie. An average, fast-running zombie with increased health. Dangerous, but easy to take down.
Kamikaze. It has the same basic stats as a Regular Zombie, but releases a cloud of poisonous smoke when eliminated. We recommend keeping your distance.
Strong Zombie. Slightly slower, but has increased health. Works together with other zombies and draws most of the incoming fire. Poor thing.
Zombie with a tomahawk or gas grenade. In addition to their speed and intimidating appearance, these specimens have evolved to wield additional weapons.
If the survivors manage to hold out against the corrupted for 48 seconds without losing a single teammate, another random survivor will be warned that they are about to be corrupted. 5 seconds later, they will join the ranks of the zombies.
We've applied several balance adjustments to the event and also made some contracts easier to complete while increasing their rewards. Check out the details below.
Event contracts now grant 450 coins (up from 390).
The number of headshot kills required for the Medic’s contract has been reduced to 250 (from 500), while the Sniper’s requirement has been reduced to 300 (from 500).
The health of starting zombies has been slightly increased, while the health of large zombies and the Gravedigger has also been increased.
Damage dealt by survivor power-up weapons has been increased.
The throwing trajectory of the zombie power-up tomahawk has been improved.
The damage, duration, and size of the poisonous cloud released by the barrel zombie have been significantly increased.
During the match, each player earns personal points based on their performance. Zombies’ score depends on kills, assists, and teamwork, while survivors earn points based on how long they stay alive. This means you can achieve a high personal score even if your team loses. Survivors who win the round also receive bonus points.
The event will take place on festive versions of the Motel, Widestreet, and Relic maps. Expect ghosts, pumpkins, and an eerie green glow. Also, keep an ear out for unusual sounds, as the maps are packed with jumpscares that can catch inattentive opponents off guard!
For completing Special Operations on any difficulty, you will receive event currency in addition to Crowns. There is no limit to the amount of currency you can earn — you will get it every time you complete a mission.
During the event, you can earn guaranteed rewards for reputation points and purchase items from the Showcase.
In the progression Showcase, you can collect weapon cards from the Alien weapon series, featuring the SARB-15 JAKL, SI PS90, SPAS-12, and Browning Safari. Four Golden Weapons will also be available: the OTs-14 Groza, Sentry 12, TX-15 SBR, and Truvelo CMS 20x42 mm. And for fans of melee weapons, there’s a crowbar and the Bloodthirst Switchblade. All items except the Golden Weapons cost 4,000 cards. Golden Weapons cost 6,000 cards.
Once the event ends, all Black Market Coins remaining on your account will expire. Don't forget to spend them!
Here’s a reminder of how it works.
Use the button to refresh the items in the Showcase. Each refresh costs event currency.
Each refresh fills the progress bar.
Once the progress bar reaches 100% (20/20), you’ll receive an exclusive offer: a chance to claim one of the valuable items for free.
Once you make your choice, the other items in the special offer become unavailable. The progress bar then resets, and you can start filling it again to receive a new offer.
The event Showcase features a duplicate replacement system that provides an additional source of parts. If an item you already own drops, it is automatically replaced with a parts slot. The amount of parts depends on the value of the item. Discounts do not apply to this slot.
The Showcase refreshes automatically every day.
There is no limit to the number of offers you can receive.
If you don’t manage to earn enough currency, you can purchase more. The event shop offers bundles of 300, 800, 2,200, or 5,000 Black Market Coins to help you get the new items you want.
Complete special event contracts and earn reputation points to receive a set of unique achievements.
Log in to the game every day, complete contract tasks, and earn currency and reputation points. Keep in mind that reputation points are awarded only for completing contracts, and they are required to receive progression rewards. Contracts are weekly: once they end, they disappear and reappear every Wednesday.
Good luck in battle!
