Version 1.43 is live.
This update is built around four things: amateur career stats for draft prospects, support for female players, batting title races that behave like the real thing, and a better pitch-calling and stats experience. Almost all of it came from your reports and requests.
Draft prospects now have amateur career stats

- The prospect list now shows a career line from high school, college or corporate ball. Hitters get G, AB, H, AVG, OBP, SLG, OPS, HR, RBI, BB and SB; pitchers get G, ERA, WHIP, IP, W, L, SO and BB
- Totals scale with how long the player has been playing — three years for a high schooler, more or fewer for college and corporate players. You will meet prospects like "40 home runs across three high school years" or "a college ace who kept his ERA in the ones"
- More ability columns as well: throwing, stealing and baserunning IQ for hitters, life, sharpness and quick delivery for pitchers
- The player name and the Draft button stay pinned on the left, so you never lose track of who you are looking at while scrolling through the numbers
Female players are supported
- Player data now carries a gender, which drives ability caps and the default portrait
- You can set it from the player editor or the CSV files
Batting title races look right again
- Fixed almost nobody in the league reaching the qualifying plate-appearance mark. CPU teams were shuffling their regulars far too often; batting and home run races now play out like the real thing
- The season stats screen also shows OPS+
Pitch calling

- The pitch you call is the pitch that gets thrown. This fixes cases where you picked a fastball and a different pitch was shown (reported on the Steam forums — sorry for the trouble)
- The location grid now shows which box the batter is standing in, so left- and right-handed hitters are obvious at a glance (by request)
Stat tables are faster and steadier

- Large stat tables (the "All" view in particular) open much faster. No more feeling like the game froze for a moment
- Sorting keeps your scroll position — now across preseason stats, draft prospects, the end-of-season review, contract renewals and other teams' rosters
- Column headers no longer shrink when you sort by them
Count display order
- You can now choose whether the count reads B-S-O or S-B-O in Settings (by request)
Out-of-town scores while skipping
- When an out-of-town bulletin appears while you are skipping, the game now waits for you to close it and then resumes skipping. The bulletin no longer sits on screen while play continues behind it
- Highlight cut-ins are kept short while skipping so they do not hold things up
Mods and data
- Workshop items that share an ID now raise a warning so you can see which mods are clashing
- Fixed some fields in the player editor being silently dropped when saving
Fixes
- Fixed teams left out of the league taking part in the developmental draft (thank you for the report)
- Fixed left-throwing catchers, second basemen, third basemen and shortstops being created. Position conversions can no longer produce them either
- Fixed the preseason starting after the regular season was already under way
- Fixed the trade screen jumping back to the top of the list every time you picked a player
- Fixed the "Fielding" card in the player editor pushing "RF" onto its own line
- Fixed window placement. The top of the window could be pushed off screen, and the game could reopen on a different monitor from the one you closed it on
Closing
This update is about comparing things side by side. Prospects line up as numbers you can sort, stat tables no longer stall, and sorting does not lose your place.
Thank you as always for the feedback. Please keep telling us what feels off — we work through it in order.
