To everyone in Japan, I hope you all made it through the typhoon safely.
As for me, my scheduled landing time lined up perfectly with the typhoon’s closest approach, so my return from a business trip was delayed by a full day. This is the producer of KILLER INN (Super Innocent), writing to you from my flight back to Japan.
This time, I traveled to Rotterdam in the Netherlands for TwitchCon Europe, where I had the opportunity to sit down for a talk with Otzdarva, well known as a Dead by Daylight streamer.
At the venue, I also handed out game key cards to attendees, hoping to bring even one more new friend into the world of KILLER INN.
Awareness of KILLER INN in Europe is still very, very low. Most people I spoke to had never even heard the name of the game. But among them, there were also people who knew about us, and even people who were already playing the game.
Hearing their warm words in person was truly encouraging, and I was deeply grateful.
When you shake hands with an actual player and they tell you, “I want a shortcut to turn voice chat on and off!”, there is really only one answer you can give: “We will make sure to support that.”
Of course, that is not the only request we are looking at. We are always reading feedback and suggestions from the community, carefully considering what we can do, and steadily working through improvements one step at a time.
At Creators Connect, an event where streamers and game companies can meet and talk—almost like a matchmaking event—someone from another game company two booths away from us, whose name I will keep private, called out to me and said, “Hey, it’s KILLER INN! That game is so much fun!”
I was so happy that I almost teared up a little.
Now that I think about it, I don’t believe I had ever been complimented directly by someone else in the game industry about KILLER INN before. That kind of praise hits in a very different way.
I am returning to Japan with our determination renewed: to make KILLER INN an even better game, and to welcome more new friends into it.
