Conveyor Crew PlaytestNewsBeta II - The Tower
Major update

Beta II - The Tower

Conveyor Crew Playtest · published 11 May 2026, 23:33 UTC · build 23188353

This update is quite large and covers a ton of new ground so I've prepared a short list of things to look out for and try your hardest to test:

Test Priorities

- Enemies and Enemy Interactions

- Difficulty Balancing - Is the game too hard or too easy at times? Where?

- Understanding concepts - Did you get stuck somewhere and not know how to work a certain interface? Was it frustrating?

- The most important one: AUTOSAVES. If you can find any bugs with this and keep trying to find bugs with it, report them ASAP because the checkpoints may still be unstable.

Changelog (Minor Spoilers):

- Added 1 new area: Sector 2 - The Tower. Floors currently go up to Floor 4

- Added 1 new enemy: The Security Bot

- Added Silver Shafts to the game. They are required for certain conveyors and processors in the later game

- Added Tier 3 tasks to the game. Heated, Frozen, and Electric payloads

- Added a handful of logs and story related logs

- New terminal colors: Colors are now obtainable as logs that can be inserted into the terminal by hand. Additionally, new terminal colors have been added

- Added the Recycler. Scrap is now useful

- Scrap has been divided into several different parts

- Added the Vending Machine. There's a point to doing your tasks and doing them exceptionally

- Added 5 Consumables to the game: 3 Healing items, 1 item that can be taken to revive the player upon death, and 1 item that can be taken to temporarily speed the player up

- Added 4 Permanent Upgrades to the game: Inventory Upgrade, Hotbar 4th Slot Upgrade, Max Health, and Health Regen Between Shifts

- Added two new events to the game, they're essentially boss fights

- Added an autosave feature (WIP, only appears in moments where the player is locked into an event)

- Added 1 new music track to the Office

- Added a loading screen with rotating tips

- Tweaked enemy behaviours

- Random light flickering

- Added a unique elevator to the game that the enemies can also use

- Altered shaders a bit

- Resource UI is a bit updated and displays your Credits now

- Added experimental light culling to the Tower, will continue adding more light culling to the game to prevent bleeding lights

- Added a Debug Camera (Ctrl + Shift + Numpad 0). Use at your own risk as it is an early prototype and can break the game if used. Additional controls include:

- Shift (hold) = Smooth Camera

- Z and C = Rotate Camera Sideways

- Scroll Mouse = FOV

- Scroll Mouse + Shift = Speed Control

- Added Blueprint Terminals, Blueprints, and an upgrade to the Fabricator allowing Blueprints to be inserted

- Added Crude Keys and Locked Containers

Known Issues (BETA II):

World:

- Some areas are barren when they are not planned to be, especially in between Sector 1 and 2

- Missing/Placeholder textures in some parts of the game

- Missing/Placeholder models in most parts of the game

- Lights bleed through very often in the House area of the game

- Some areas may be too dark or too bright

- Some story/puzzle elements are placeholder/unfinished

- Some sequential main quests may be tweaked

- Custom events may be too easy or too difficult

- No tower progression (WIP)

- Story abruptly ends after the second event, that's because there's nothing after that at the moment

Items:

- Satchel and Professional Tool Belt items are missing some juice/animations

- Some upgrade items are missing visuals/animations

- There's no limit to how many times you can get upgrades in the game when there should be

Quality of Life:

- There's currently no way to know if an item is contraband beforehand

- There's currently no way to know what your health will clearly be on the next shift (but you may assume its your current end of shift hp + 30)

- There's no marker or pointer towards your next objective - this feature may come soon as an upgrade to the Memory system and it may be optional

Sounds:

- Not all sounds stop when you die

- Some sounds are too quiet or too loud

- Occasional environmental sounds are currently broken

- Many sounds are still missing

- Some sounds don't loop when they should

I'm probably missing some stuff but if anything, an up-to-date list will be available on the Discord regarding known issues.

Thanks as always for testing! You are the best! Report any bugs on Discord or to me directly. If you know anyone who would like to help out, let me know as well (@Desmae). Finally, this test is still under strict NDA, so please do not share with outside sources. Thank you, and I hope you have absolutely no fun, because that way, I can get those bugs I'd never find on my own.

(But I also do hope you enjoy the new features!)

~ Nick
