An update built from the open beta's feedback: duels between players arrive, several Sahira and stealth bugs are fixed, and mid- and high-level monsters last longer while refined gear makes the difference again. Update required: the world checks the client version when connecting. Characters keep their level, gear and talents.
Duels
- Open another player's menu (from their target frame) and choose «Challenge to a duel». They have 30 seconds to accept. Available in both the new and the classic interface.
- Once accepted, a duel flag falls from the sky and plants itself between you. Then comes a 3-second countdown with sound and «Fight!».
- A duel gives no karma, no honor and no purple mark. You can challenge anyone, including a party member or someone inside a town.
- Nobody dies: the final blow leaves the loser on the ground for a moment, and they get up on their own 3 seconds later with full health. The winner also gets all their health back, and the effects each one left on the other are removed.
- Moving more than 40 meters away from the flag for 10 seconds counts as giving up. After 5 minutes the duel ends in a draw.
- A good way to measure how long each class takes to defeat and to try skills and gear without risk.
Sahira and stealth
- Dance of Blades no longer kills its user: its movement was counted as a fall. Now no skill movement causes fall damage (the leaps and charges of other classes included).
- Ghost Step moves you where you are walking; it no longer pulls you toward the target you just defeated.
- Backstab: the back is measured on the target's real body, from its spine, on any monster or player. Attacking out of stealth also counts as from behind.
- Envenomed Edge and Bleeding Cut: the poison and the bleed grow with the hit. They deal 10% of the hit per second for 6 s and 15% per second for 4 s (previously a flat 4 and 5 damage).
- Shadow Mantle: stealth lasts up to 60 seconds or until you attack, and its cooldown becomes 5 minutes.
- The pet and summons also vanish from other players' view while their owner is in stealth.
- Changing zones while invisible no longer leaves the character untouchable by monsters until reconnecting.
Combat
- Using an out-of-range skill while moving with WASD: when you release the keys, the character runs to the skill's range and casts it instead of cancelling it.
- Reviving in place (with the pet or an ally) shows the character's body again; before, it stayed invisible until reconnecting.
- Heals and buffs no longer walk your character to the target: they are cast where you stand. A ranged skill no longer sends you into melee either when your basic attack is close range.
- The mage keeps its basic attack going after its damage spells, like the other lineages, and the basic waits for a cast to finish instead of cutting it.
- Healing Breath (Yodha): with an enemy selected, creature or player, the heal goes to you; with an ally selected, to them. No more clearing the target to heal yourself mid-fight.
- Wind Step goes where you are running, even with a target selected; standing still, it still goes where you face.
- Jumping costs stamina (12 of 100 per jump, the double jump's second leap too): no stamina, no jump. In town, where running is free, so is jumping.
Monsters and gear
- Common and elite monsters of level 20 and above have twice the health, rising gradually between levels 20 and 25. Their hits and the experience they give are unchanged. Bosses are unchanged too.
- Weapon refining: +7% damage per grade (previously 3.5%). A +12 weapon hits ×1.84 and a +15 one ×2.15. Refining is felt again in PvE and PvP. Armor stays at ×1.05 per grade.
- Durability: skills wear the weapon almost four times less (about 2,500 uses to break it).
- Anvil (new interface): new «Scrolls» mode to engrave virtue scrolls on weapons and clothing, as in the classic interface (up to 10 virtues per piece).
- Rank Stone: now raises weapons up to Mythic (it used to stop at Legendary). Its description explains how to get it: crafted with Blacksmithing (trade level 10, character level 30) from Sand Core, Umbral Blood, Greater Refining Dust and Troll Skull; the Eon Pass and the Refiner's Chest also give it.
- Reforge: on 7-line weapons the seventh line can now be changed too (it was ignored). The reforge sheet lists what each line asks and which seal a new line needs, and says when the piece already has every line its rarity allows.
Interface
- ESC closes the Inspect window of another player; before, it opened your character sheet with the inventory.
- The resonance bar shows its regeneration per second (+N/s), just like the health bar.
- Item cards with a lot of text no longer go off screen: they move back inside and, if needed, shrink to fit.
- Item cards in the new interface add up repeated virtues: a scroll engraved over a stat the piece already has shows as one summed line.
- Scrolls: the description says plainly what they engrave and what it does, and the card shows how much they add in numbers («+3 to +9 Vigor» on a piece of your level). At the anvil, choosing the piece shows the exact range.
- Chat: item links in the chat preview (bottom left) show their card on mouse-over, without opening the chat.
- Everything can be linked: Shift+click while an item's card is showing (shop, loot, market, recipes, vault, pass…) sends it to the chat. The Journal sheet has a «Link in chat» button, also for items you have not found yet.
- The pet's Resurrection Stone costs 7 silver at Pashupal (was 70).
- The Inspect window no longer darkens the screen: the world shows behind it, as in the menus.
