Party Based RPG Fest & Content Update

Good news, fellow dungeon delvers! Dverghold will participate in this year's Party-Based RPG Fest starting on September 14th!

But that is not all ... our first content update is also about to drop and we are working hard to release it still during the festival - let's see if we can make it but things look good. Generally our content updates are planned for approximately every 6-8 weeks a piece and so far we're on schedule with the first one! Some of the features we are going to have in the update:

  • More character portraits - we are working to combat the "attack of the clones"-effect of hired characters and give them more distinct portraits for each class.

  • Custom portraits - not just that, you will be able to import your own images used for character portraits

  • Side quests - 2 rudimentary side quests were already in the initial Early Access release, now they will be fully implemented plus one entirely new quest that Millie, the tavern wench, gives you!

  • Priest menu - for piety, which you can gain by praying at shrines, you will be able to get covenants and blessings from the priest. Those act like "modifiers" for gameplay systems - want to be able to pick locks with any character class, always be able to see your location on the map or increase damage to certain enemy types? You can, but it will often be a trade-off with some downside as well.

  • Equipment fitting system - if you get an additional upgrade for the blacksmith, you can fit equipment to a specific character. They will get multiple available boosts if worn by its "owner" but penalties if worn by anyone else.

  • nicer looking ceilings in existing dungeon levels

  • Various quality of life improvements and small fixes

  • Soundtrack will be made available to buy separately on Steam

Expect this to arrive at some point next week.

Some new work in progress-versions of portraits

After this content update, the next one is planned to arrive stil before christmas and include a whole new dungeon level, "The Sorgarn Mines".

Alright, time to get back to work, stay tuned!

Team Sorgarn
