On August 12, MONSTER CARDS will celebrate the 4th anniversary of its Early Access release! We could never have come this far without everyone who plays the game day after day. Thank you so much!
The official release is also drawing near at last. At the moment, we plan to deliver one more major update, with the official release expected around the update after that.
This update introduces "MONSTER GUESS," a new mode where everyone can enjoy drawing cards and guessing quizzes together!
We have also added new ways to play, including a feature to create your own original card sleeves (exclusive to Plus License DLC owners)!
This update also includes skill balance changes and various other improvements and adjustments,

New Mode "MONSTER GUESS" Is Here!
A quiz mode where you create cards based on the given parameters, then try to guess the right answers!
The cards created in this mode can each be downloaded and even added to your own decks!
Deck Recipe Image Export
You can now export a deck as a single image!
Advanced Card Setting to Allow Illustration Import by Others
Card files with this setting enabled can be imported as layers for card illustrations and sleeves, even by players other than the card's creator.
Card Sleeve (Card Back) Creation & Customization
You can now create card sleeves in the dedicated in-game editor!
Created sleeves can be set for each deck, letting you show them off to other players in online matches!
*Purchasing the paid DLC "Plus License" is required to use this feature.
【Card of Advanced】
Commander
Soldier
New: Fight for the master. If this card's battle ends in a draw, it counts as a loss. This card cannot be placed directly into the offense zone.
Trapper
Trap
New: When this card is sent to the cemetery from the deck due to damage received from another player, discard this card instead and deal 1 damage to the opponent. However, if you discard it directly from your hand, you take the damage instead.
*The changes to SP and higher grades are wording adjustments only, reflecting the updated base effect.
【Card of Sunrise】
Bushido
New: While this card is in the offense zone, it locks the offense zone at the start of each turn. However, when its owner's turn comes, this card moves to the ruins.
New ULT: When its owner's turn comes, this card moves to the cemetery instead of the ruins.
Meditation
New SP: Draw 3 cards instead of the number of cards returned to the deck.
New ULT: Draw 5 cards instead of the number of cards returned to the deck.
【Card of Named】
Cheer
New: This turn, the card in the defense zone gains a short-hand advantage (+1) in battle.
New SP: Additionally, this card's owner recovers 1. You can discard this card even during turns other than your own.
New ULT: Gain short-hand advantage (+2). Additionally, this card's owner recovers 1. This card can be discarded even during turns other than your own.
【Card of Inspiration】
Manufacture
New: When played to the field as a GameChanger and when a player begins their turn, roll a die; if you roll a 1, add the product to your hand.
Thief
New: When you win a battle, if the defeated card has a Standard skill, place up to 1 of them under this card. This card additionally gains the skill effect of the card placed underneath.
Trap
Minor adjustments to reflect the changes to its base effect.
Bushido
Adjusted to reflect the changes to its base effect.
Meditation
It has calmed its mind and attained the power of ultimate healing.
Revenger
Its unwavering will for revenge has granted it invincible power.
Thief
Minor adjustments to reflect the changes to its base effect.
The Terms of Use (EULA) and Privacy Policy have been revised. (Revision date: July 30, 2026 / Effective date: August 5, 2026)
We have added new provisions regarding user content, fan-created (derivative) works, and online play, as well as provisions on the measures taken in response to violations of the prohibited actions. The Privacy Policy now clearly states that user content is never used to train generative AI, and that data is deleted after a room is disbanded. By using the game on or after the effective date, you will be deemed to have agreed to the revised terms.
