Hi everyone!
Development is continuing with a focus on improving replayability, adding more variety between matches, and polishing existing gameplay systems.
The biggest addition in this update is the new procedural store variant system. Stores can now have multiple possible layouts, allowing different versions of the same store to appear between rounds. This means each match can feel different and players cannot simply memorize every store layout.
The game currently features two mall maps:
Pacific Mall
The map currently shown on the Steam store page and the more complete of the two maps.
Fairview Mall
A much larger custom-built mall that is currently being furnished and polished. Fairview Mall contains many more stores and areas compared to Pacific Mall, and I will be sharing more screenshots as development progresses.
Stores can now have multiple layouts that are selected during gameplay. This system makes it much faster to create new store variations and allows different versions of the same storefront to appear each round.
Fairview Mall is continuing to take shape. The map is currently being furnished and prepared for the new loot spawning and store variant systems, which will help bring the mall to life with more unique stores and layouts.
A new host match setting has been added that changes how loot ownership works:
Unsecured Loot Loot can always be stolen, even after being placed into the extraction van.
Secure Van Once loot enters the extraction van, it becomes secured and cannot be stolen by other players.
Added procedural store variant spawner system.
Added loot ownership match setting with Unsecured Loot and Secure Van options.
Added player unstuck option to the escape menu.
Added pepper spray for security guards.
Added NPC voice volume slider.
Updated Fairview Mall with additional furnishing and setup work.
Updated ragdoll camera behavior to better follow player falls.
Updated ragdoll system to feel less scripted.
Updated utility item hand placement.
Updated utility item rotation when looking up and down.
Updated projectile lines to better match utility item aiming.
Updated player push strength and throw distance.
Updated security behavior so security guards use pepper spray while police continue using tasers.
Fixed customer NPCs entering restricted staff-only areas.
Fixed door blockers breaking NPC navigation.
Fixed door blockers not attaching correctly to doors.
Thanks for following development! We're continuing to polish the game, improve the experience, and add new features as development progresses.
