Demo Patch 2

GemCraft - Legacy Collection · published 17 Jun 2026, 15:28 UTC

Howdy Folks! Again, thank you for trying out the demo! We're so excited to have your feedback ahead of the full game release later this year. We've pushed our 2nd patch for the demo (and all changes will also be in the full game). Here are the highlights:

  • Fixed most audio issues. We removed audio adjustments from the individual games and moved it to the wrapper, with slider for volume control

  • Added tower-to-tower combining (and trap-to-trap, trap-to-tower, etc etc) for GemCraft 1

  • Updated hotkeys for consistency across all games

  • Added dozens of changes from Discord user Bill Wilson, hitting on bugs, optimizations, consistencies... you name it. Lots and lots of stuff

    • Optimizations that take extreme, extreme end-game situations in GC0 and GCL from 10 FPS (or less) to 28 FPS

    • Bug fixes from the OG games that allow fast-forward speeds to retain all benefits in GC0 and GCL. Previously, you could run into framerate caps

  • Added credits for the Collection to the wrapper

  • Added ability to Shift + Click to remove a skill point in GC1, instead of having to reset all skill points in order to test out different builds

Many of these changes won't impact gameplay on the demo, but will be crucial for high scores, endurance runs, and mega mana farms in the full game. Please let us know if you are still running into issues! As of now, we're aware of some edge case audio looping issues when pausing, and they'll be fixed in our next update.

Thanks!
