- Intro film on the title screen. Skip with Enter, Space or Escape.
- The enemy headquarters is hidden at the start. Recruit enough of your team to reveal it; the Frostopedia explains how.
- Snow buggies can roll over. Crossing a steep side slope too fast rolls the buggy; a windscreen outline and a low tone warn you first. Better drivers can go faster.
- Fuel burns faster the faster you drive. Plan your route around where you can refuel. Easy has a bigger tank, Hard a smaller one.
- Rocket grenades can miss. Aim at the centre of your view for the best odds.
- CO PLAYER (Windows only): from the pause page, the game writes a briefing you can hand to an AI assistant for hints or coaching.
- VIDEO options page: display settings, anti-aliasing, dither size.
- The minimap now scrolls with you instead of paging.
- Map index: a red X marks a facility type when every building of that type is destroyed.
- Civilians are never captured, and a civilian who fires becomes a fighter for that fight.
Fixed
- On skis, rocket grenades fire on SPACE only on Windows. A mouse click no longer fires one.
- Lieutenant Gaunt and Revel portraits are no longer stretched.
- A crash in v28.3 when the roll warning first appeared.
- Academy lesson cards stay up when you change screens; BACK is in the same place on every Academy page.
- Side cards close on a click or after 30 seconds and no longer fire a shot when clicked.
- A distress flare never delivers you to the enemy headquarters.
- Missile warning chevrons show the true bearing: ahead at the top, behind at the bottom.
