This hotfix focuses on progression reliability, enemy behavior, weapon presentation, and menu usability.
Progression
Improved the reliability of challenge progress, camo unlocks, titles, and equipped rewards.
Added automatic recovery from valid backup and interrupted save files.
Progression is now stored separately for each signed-in Steam account, with existing local progress migrated automatically.
Challenge rewards are now saved before their unlock notifications appear.
Gameplay & Performance
Gas Sleepers now crawl around their nearby area while undisturbed, navigate around obstacles, and transition correctly into their chase.
Gas Sleeper encounters now favor objective routes and maintain better separation from one another.
Improved close-range zombie tracking and turning.
Nearby pursuers now receive faster path updates without increasing the existing navigation budget.
Fixed zombies spawning within the player’s view, near screen edges, or using another zombie as visual cover.
Video & Weapon Presentation
Fixed held weapon and arm framing when changing FOV or playing at different aspect ratios.
Changed the default FOV to 80. Existing player-selected FOV values are preserved.
Held weapons and inactive attachments no longer cast unintended shadows into the world.
Menus & Clarity
Improved Career and Settings menu sizing and positioning across different resolutions.
Made Camo and Title lists more compact and easier to browse.
Improved formatting for weapon and challenge names.
Clarified the requirements for Borrowed Time and Full Spectrum.
Updated tutorial text to better explain how objectives and the closing gas ring reduce the extraction buyout.
