Potion-making: Path of the Alchemist · published
Hello from the Oduvan Games team! We’ve prepared a major update and are excited to share it with you.
We’ve focused on making your first steps into the game smoother, clearer, and more enjoyable. All of these changes are already available in the new build. So let’s take a closer look!
Completely revamped tutorial
The tutorial is now a separate mission that takes you from the beginning of a match all the way to your first Place of Power. Along the way, you’ll learn all the core mechanics step by step.
For example, the old tutorial didn’t explicitly explain that all ingredients and potions on the table are shared, meaning other players can use them in their own recipes. Now we make that clear right away! And whenever you need a refresher, you can always replay the tutorial.
Improved audio
Phase changes, brewing potions, adding ingredients to recipes, and many other actions now have their own unique sounds. So if an opponent decides to snatch your potion during their turn, you’ll definitely hear it.
Added 16:10 aspect ratio and touchscreen support
The game now displays correctly on monitors and laptops with a 16:10 aspect ratio, as well as on Steam Deck. On touchscreen devices, you can play by tapping the elements on the screen.
Completely revamped camera
You can now see the entire game board and table at once. Zooming in and out feels much smoother.
Added an encyclopedia
The game now includes an encyclopedia with explanations of all the terms, rules, and mechanics. Forgot how something works or came across an unfamiliar term? Just open the relevant entry directly from the main menu!
This isn’t everything we’re working on. There are still plenty of changes to come as we make our way toward release. If you’ve already taken part in the playtest, be sure to jump back in and see what’s changed. And if you haven’t played yet, now is the perfect time to request access!
Add the game to your wishlist and share your feedback with us!
Happy experimenting, alchemists!
