Crashes and rescues
- After any crash - skis, snowbuggy or hang glider - you get up facing away from whatever you hit.
- A rescue now shows the crash and your injuries before anything else; the village screen comes after.
- Crash pictures match what you were riding: glider crash frames for a glider.
- A hang glider can no longer "land" inside a building; that is a crash now.
- Ski falls are dialled by difficulty: rare on Easy, frequent on Hard.
Demolition and ruins
- Ruins stand at full height and can be seen from the slopes; blown-up buildings are tinted darker.
- You never come out of a demolition standing inside the ruin.
- Blowing up the enemy headquarters plays the victory film before the "Midwinter is free" card.
Team and jail
- Companions: swapping on the COMPANIONS screen changes the driver; the buggy stays with the group.
- TEAM screen: the report sits in its own band; an imprisoned member is greyed and marked PRISONER.
- Everyone in a building sleeps and eats on one clock; watches sync on entry.
Screens and options
- DISPLAY OPTIONS: borderless, full screen or windowed, with size steps; the window always fits your screen at boot.
- Retro building icons in the original PC sky-blue; enemy HQ tile in retro art.
- Frostopedia: tip cards are remembered in your saves; a CHEAT section appears in cheat mode.
- Cheat mode (Ctrl+F10): Ctrl+click on the strategic map moves you and your party there.
