As the second test for Badassgard is currently underway, we've put together a detailed guide to answer any questions you Viking warriors might have.
From how to participate to the rewards, this FAQ will be continuously updated throughout the test, so please check back anytime!
Q. What is the purpose of this test?
This Closed Alpha Test #2 is being conducted to see how Badassgard's core combat experience, newly added Ooparts, set effects, difficulty levels, and reward structures feel in actual gameplay.
After the test concludes, we will use your feedback to improve balance and quality of life, returning with an even more polished build.
(Note: Due to the nature of an alpha build in active development, some content or systems may be restricted or incomplete.)
Q. How can I participate?
This test is a Closed Alpha with a limited number of participants. If you wish to join, please apply by following the steps below. The application process is very simple:
Join the [Official Badassgard Discord]
Go to the #cat2-application channel
Fill out and submit the application form posted in the channel
How to receive your Steam Key:
After submitting the form, the Badassgard Team will grant you the @Key Claimer role, and you will receive a notification in the #steam-key-claim channel.
Enter that channel and click the "Claim Key" button to receive your Steam key.
Please copy it quickly, as the message will be deleted automatically.
※ If you missed claiming your key, please open a support ticket. We will help you as quickly as possible.
Q. How do I activate my Steam key?
Detailed instructions on how to activate it are included in the message sent with your key. If any warrior gets lost during the activation process, don't worry! Just send a message to our staff and we will assist you.
Q. Is multiplayer available?
Unfortunately, multiplayer is not supported during this Closed Alpha Test. Multiplayer features will be added after the alpha tests, so please stay tuned!
Q. Can I stream or upload gameplay videos?
Yes, absolutely! We highly encourage you to stream, record videos, and share screenshots.
The content you create is a massive help in growing our community and developing the game.
However, we would appreciate it if you could briefly let your viewers know that this is an alpha build in active development, and features are subject to change.
Q. Will my test data carry over?
No. The purpose of this test is to verify systems and gameplay, so all player data will be wiped after the test concludes. We ask for your generous understanding.
Q. Are there rewards for participating in the test?
Yes, there are! We have prepared special perks for the Vikings who join us on our second expedition, CAT #2.
Perks for all test participants
Exclusive Discord Role: You will receive a special role in the official community to prove you are an early pioneer.
In-game "Hall of Fame Tablet" Name Engraving: Your nickname will be engraved on a Hall of Fame tablet (working title) placed inside the game, forever recording you as a warrior who was part of Badassgard's history.
Additional perk for survey participants
Limited Edition In-game Skin: Those who leave valuable feedback after the test will receive an "Alpha Tester 2 Limited Edition Skin" that can be used upon official release.
Q. Where do I report bugs or leave feedback?
If you find a bug, please use the #alpha-bugs-and-feedback-reports channel in the official Discord.
If it's difficult to post in a public channel, you can send it 1:1 to the staff via the Discord ticket system.
