⚔️ Greetings, Vikings!

Before we begin, we would like to give you our heartfelt thanks for taking the time to try out the Closed Alpha Test of Badassgard. The feedback and bug reports you've sent us have been incredibly detailed and straight to the point.

Our team has been constantly monitoring your feedback, and we've prepared an upcoming hotfix that addresses many of the bugs and issues players have reported during their playthroughs.

We want to make the most of this opportunity to make the game run as smoothly as possible — and, of course, make it even more fun than before!

🔧 – Patch Notes –

Dungeon and Combat

  • Tutorial: Polished the layout of the first part of the map

  • Tutorial: Altered surfaces to prevent players from getting stuck or colliding with invisible layers

  • Tutorial: Fixed enemy pathfinding AI

  • Tutorial: Fixed an issue where enemies would not spawn after the first encounter

  • Tutorial: Prevented players from spawning out of bounds

  • Wretched Rest: Fixed an issue where players could get stuck on stairs

  • Wretched Rest: Fixed areas around the Twin Cat Shop where players could get stuck

  • Forgotten Temple: Fixed the stairs in the boss arena to prevent players from getting stuck

  • Forgotten Temple: Fixed an issue where Boss Magnusson could remain invulnerable after a phase change

  • Forgotten Temple: Fixed an issue where Boss Magnusson could disappear mid-fight

  • Forgotten Temple: Adjusted the stage layout for the jump obstacle challenge

    • Added extra platforms near the bottom of the stage

    • Changed the starting segment

    • Adjusted spaces between boxes/walls to prevent players from getting stuck

    • Widened parts of the top floor by 1.5x

  • Ammunition: Fixed an issue where Glue Pellets could also damage players

Regular Changes

  • Odin: Fixed dialogue strings not appearing

  • Tyr: Fixed overlapping dialogue lines

  • Ammo Set: Added an extra warning when attempting to scrap ammo parts

  • Fixed an issue where emergency exits would not work properly

  • Maps can now be randomized with each new loop

  • Fixed an issue that could cause a softlock if the player died at the same time as the boss

  • Fixed NPC dialogue and UI text issues in French, German, and Spanish

  • Tutorial: Players can now enter the dungeon without needing to select a difficulty

  • Tyr: Fixed cases where the Active Skill Sacred Inferno would have no FX or cause players to return to the menu

  • Hero Info: Fixed an issue where the cursor would not be hidden while scrolling in the UI

  • Options Menu: Fixed an issue where the menu contents would shift downward when opened

  • AZERTY Keyboard: Added the comma [,] as an additional command for the dungeon snapshot function to make bug reporting easier

That said, CAT#2 will continue all the way through September 15th!

We'll continue to keep a close eye on any bugs and feedback you report throughout the test. Every report helps us make Badassgard better than ever.
