It’s official Howlers!

We’re excited to finally announce that Emerald City Games is developing Red Rising for PC.

We’ve been huge fans of both the books and the board game for years, and this has been a true passion project for our entire team.

Official Announcement Trailer:

BUT WAIT! WHO ARE WE?

In 2008, two cousins, a basement and the perfect mix of ignorance and ambition formed what would become Emerald City Games. 18 years later, we’ve now shipped 12 titles and continue to improve our craft with every game.

Over the years we’ve created original titles like the Lionheart & Sacred Seasons series and been fortunate enough to work on some beloved franchises. Boldly taking Star Trek to Apple Arcade, reimagining Tomb Raider as a roguelike, and my personal boyhood dream , a fresh spin on G.I. JOE with War on Cobra.

We love creating our own new worlds!

Now we’re incredibly excited to bring Red Rising the board game to PC!

This is another passion project for the studio. We approached Stonemaier Games in the hopes of a partnership and thanks to Jamey’s trust in us and our shared passion, here we are!

We remain 100% independent to this day. Our mission has always been simple: find the great developers from around the world to build a strong culture and amazing games.

Please wishlist the game if you like the game, or want more updates. We look forward to sharing more as development continues!

There’s too much to share for us to wait until the end of the month, let’s get to it! House Selection Screen This menu has received a major polish pass. It is still a work-in-progress, but players can now clearly see each House, and its unique ability, before they make their choice. Loading Screen Instead of a static image, it now has a fully animated version. We found it pretty mesmer…In-game event29 Jun 2026Dev Diary II - Forged in fire 🔥Howlers! Huge month for us with lots of exciting updates to share. We’re working hard to build something best-in-class that lives up to the standard that both the tabletop and book series have set. Card Animations We’re really happy with how the animations are progressing. We have successfully rigged the original card art, and have begun animating them to bring some life to the characters. And…
