Two weeks ago we launched Box Knight. Since then we've read every review and every discussion thread, and the clearest thing you told us was that it's hard.
Fair. But some of you were bouncing off floor three and never seeing the rest of it, and the joke only works if you get far enough in.
So we've hired someone. Damo, the Gambler now offers three ways to play:
Normal - for anyone who'd like to actually meet the CEO.
Hardcore - Box Knight exactly as it shipped. Nothing softened.
Corporate Hell - for the battle-hardened and the bloodthirsty. No mercy.
Nobody's existing experience has been made easier. We've added options either side of it, in both directions.
Steam Cloud saving is also now enabled. If you've been playing across multiple machines, boot from your most progressed save first so you don't overwrite it.
Full patch notes are in Friday's post — co-op fixes, boss fixes, and a long list of things you found that we didn't.
We're three people who made this part-time over six years. Being able to change the game two weeks after launch because of what you said is the best part of this whole thing. Your reviews are literally the input...and they're also how anyone else finds us.
More coming. Thanks for playing.
