Updates have been slower recently because I’ve started a major refactor of Pixel:Gate. The main goals of this refactor are to improve the current user experience and create more room for future features. The interface will also be redesigned. Without making major changes to the logic of existing features, I want to give the software a more modern and clearer feel, while making the connections between different features more natural.
This update is not just a simple visual refresh. I’ll be reorganizing page layouts, feature entry points, and workflows so that Pixel:Gate feels more intuitive and easier to use overall. At the same time, I’ll make the new interface structure easier to extend in the future, so adding new features won’t require large changes to existing parts every time.
Alongside the refactor, I’m also going through the feedback and suggestions I’ve collected so far.
In addition, voxel modeling is currently in development. This is an important new direction for the software, but it is still in the early stages of development. The exact features and workflow may change as development continues. I hope it will eventually integrate well with the existing creation process and become a useful part of the software.
This update covers a lot of ground, so it will not all be completed at once. I’ll continue working through it step by step, prioritizing issues that affect day-to-day use before moving on to further feature expansion.
